I don't do cryptic clues, obviously. Although I have answered this question correctly twice, with grace and poise I will leave the floor to Roller. Also I don't have a decent question lined up.
Correct Roller. Sorry Stan - you answered the question I wrote and not the one I meant. Decide it by an arm wrestle if you want...
I'd guess it's some sort of prison perhaps a French Imperial one by the looks (North/West France)? I assume one of the clever ones will know exactly what and where better than my wild guesswork though...
I could go for the polar opposite and say Butlins in Skegness and see if that's closer... How about a monastery in Southern Spain? Has a humble look to it (barring the huge effort required to construct it) but could have that Arabic influence in design. Looks a bit green around the edges for Granada though. Interesting looking place though.
I'll stay along those lines and punt for somewhere in Latin America. The trees look like they belong to more moderate climate so perhaps Chile?
Could it be Eritrea or Ethiopia? I remember reading an article about underground churches and churches built in caves in NE Africa around about the 12th century.
Having googled "Ethiopian Underground Churches" you must be right Nines. Better get Stan to OK this before he leaves the country again. I must be honest, I don't think the article would have caught my eye!
Nor me usually Roller. I just have this odd fetish for geography and countries, their capitals, flag etc. Sometimes I just google a country and read up about it.
Apologies lads, I was not up to speed with responses. Good shout Nines, its in Ethiopia, carved out of solid rock. And I'm flying again tomorrow, so good job I spotted this now.....
According to this criteria West Bromwich Albion are top of the league in England, followed by Oldham Athletic and Port Vale. Grimsby Town are bottom. What criteria is this ?
