Do they? Graham is proven and looked good against Betis. Sagbo is a gamble who might come good, but he's got no 'right' to be in the starting eleven yet and against Betis he was a bit meh. I'd have thought Huddlestone would play the deepest of the three.
I probably would pick Graham, but it is a bit tricky to pick a main striker. Remember, those performances were in pre-season, when people are usually not going all out.
I think both will play because they know each other really well. I'm not sure Meyler, Huddleston & Koren is as balanced as Mayler, Huddleston & Livermore.
Totally agree - that is his role, Meyler is not that sort of player although can fill it if necessary.
You'd expect so, as Meyler is much more effective when able to use his box to box ability, which it is hard to do when playing as the anchor man in the midfield.
McGregor (GK) Davies(CB) Figueroa(CB) Chester(CB) Elmo(LM) Livermore Huddlestone Brady(RM) Koren(CAM) (Don't see why people think he wont be a massive boost to out team, PL Experience and our top goal scorer last season) Graham(ST) Aluko(ST)
I've decided I'd go 352. McGregor Chester Davies Figueroa Elmo Meyler Huddlestone Livermore Brady Aluko Graham I think that is the 11 that will start, as for the formation who knows.
if he goes with a back 4, id rather just go with rosenoir and dont see where elmo would fit in...i still think 3-5-2 mcgregor elmo- chester-davies-fig- brady - meyler- huddlestone- koren aluko-graham i dont think hel start livermore and throw 2 straight in, keep some sort of consistency from pre season
Don't think their predicted city line-up will be it. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/aug/16/chelsea-hull-city-squad-sheets
That's an appalling bit of journalism. They haven't even looked into who our key players or are what formation we will play. I'm 99% sure it won't be 4-4-2 on Saturday.
------------mcgregor Rosie - Chester-Davies-Figueroa ----Huddlestone - Livermore Elmo ------------------------ Brady ---------Aluko --------------Graham Key subs Meyler (For Rosie to allow room to switch to a back 3) and Sagbo for Elmohamady if we need to squeeze the midfield and give us more options from the middle to the forwards Mobility will be key for Aluko and Sagbo though
Id go: Mcgregor Rosenior Chester Davies Figueroa Meyler thudd brady Elmo Graham Aluko Harper mcshane dudgeon livermore koren boyd Sagbo
I reckon he'd be good there, he's proven himself defensively playing wing back and he's got the energy to get up and down and can play in a similar sort of way to Quinny. Also gives us the option to get Figureoa forward and Brady to cover him.
McGregor Rosenior - Chester - Davies - Figeuroa Meyler - Huddlestone Elmo - Koren - Brady Aluko Is what I'd like to see. But I expect to see: Mcgregor Rosenior - Chester - Davies - Figeuroa Elmo - Meyler - Bruce - Huddlestone - Brady Graham/Aluko (not sure which) Hope I'm wrong but I've just got a feeling that will be it.
How very dare Chelsea put their reserve team out against us. We should respond and do the same. McLean, Bruce ... get your arse on the bus
