As much as I want to see him score, his true reasons for having his hair long make me think it would be nice if he didn't...

Another point I'd like to make - when West Brom were last promoted, they faced Chelsea on the first day. WBA lost 6-0. Not done that bad since, have they? Just sayin...

Will be interesting, we have only conceded 2 goals against Chelsea in the past three meetings . I also feel like we have built a much stronger team this time around, Call me optimistic but i'm calling 1-1.

You mean in the last game?

We haven't beaten them since 88-89 3-0, no idea who scored as it was before I started going, we've played them 8 times since only 2 draws, but that's in the last 2 seasons in the PL, however in the last 2 meetings we have scored first.

I apologize for my misconception, I mean from the past three meetings. Which I personally think is very good.

Would we be the first team to beat Mourinho at Stamford Bridge?

Yes. That record he had stretched from Porto to Real Madrid, so he was unbeaten at home at both Chelsea AND Inter.

    Incredible record.

I reckon we'll see a carbon copy of the last time we played there first game of the season - we dceservedly take the lead, run the game, they get a spawny equaliser then an even flukier winner.

    Bastards.

    all you ****ing neg-heads!

"we will lose"? will we ****! we will beat chelsea!
OK so they have got jose, the self proclaimed 'Special one'. So ****ing what? we have got SB, with his speshul nose!
    where is your optimism??
who'd have thunk we could have swept aside arsenal at their place last time?
or given Spurs something to think about?
we have momentum on our side!
    we have just come up!
****s sake the pessimism on here is unreal!

you all complain about how the press dahn sarf write us off, look at some of the **** Jamie Rednap writes, and you all passionately defended Hull.
and then you all say "well 2 nil wont be disastrous"

the press dont have to write us off.. you all do it!

Everyone's favourite dickhead Adrian Durham just said on Talkshite that Chelsea will win 6-0.

In sayin that, when West Brom were last promoted, they faced Chelsea on the first day and lost 6-0. Not done that bad since, have they?

The question was "Prediction for Sunday?" I predicted us to lose because it's Chelsea and they've got a quality squad, a quality manager and bags of experience. We have hardly any experience, a decent squad and a good manager, but I'm not optimistic for Sunday. I'm optimistic for the season, but beating Cheslea under Mourinho is going to take something very special and I think it's going to be too much to ask from the players. And I don't know where this momentum has come from, we were god awful at the arse end of last season. Our form was swept under the rug with the euphoria of promotion, but the afternoon at Barnsley I had to endure was, frankly, pathetic and it's going to take a couple of good goals/wins to totally convince me we'll be alright. Thankfully, I believe we'll be alright in the end. But realistically, it's going to be the toughest season some of these players have ever experienced.

As long as the lads give it their all, I'll be chuffed. I'm happy just to be playing Chelsea, let alone beat them.

Ring in and ask him what that's based on. Actually do it. Call him on it and ask him for a fair justification of why Chelsea will put six past us.

Do you expect a **** like that to give any sensible reasoning? He'll just go on a rant on how ****e Hull are and how incredible Chelsea are.

He said afterwards that he thinks it will be 6-0 because Jose's 'a winner'. What a **** reason.

    calm down !

I haven't written City off , i just think we will be beaten by Chelsea on Sunday .
I said prior to the two Spurs signings , if we get them we should be competitive in any match
and i see no reason why we cant stay in the Prem with our squad ,

    PL season 2008/09 Lost 0-3 @ home and drew 0-0 @ Chelsea.
    PL season 2009/10 Lost 1-2 @ Chelsea and drew 1-1 @ home.

Nothing like being a party pooper.

Now that is funny coming from a Posh fan. Some Chelsea fans are saying 10-0 on twiiter yesterday. Oh how i hope that the Chelsea players feel the same way. Arsenal paid the price back in 2008 when they thought the same. We are much better team 5 years on.

Rodney Marsh and Chelsea fan and ex.player Jason Cundy said last night on talkshi.te that Chelsea would struggle to score goals this season as things stand. Lol.
