You're right, he has done nothing that has put the club in a bad light. <ok>

As I said before, he can no longer kiss the crest, he has made his intentions known. I hope he gets us CL and we can see how that tune changes like a switch. <ok>

Yeah same as all of us I think
He's a grade A **** but if he puts the effort in on the pitch then for 90 mins he'll have my support

This and that for the DR. as well. Just tired of putting players before the club, especially ones who have put a lot of **** on the club at that. Would be interesting, really interesting to see what targets we would be after if we got CL. Would the money be boosted, do we go higher profile or stick with trying to find gems, etc.

  7. Although it obviously helps, I don't think getting into the CL initially makes a massive difference. Getting in a second time in successive seasons would make a massive difference though. then again, would we have signed Henry Ryan had we been in Arsenal's position? #yettoqualify #maybethereasonbehindthelackofsigningssofar

<peacedove>Luis Suarez back in Liverpool first-team fold after apologising .

Forward Luis Suarez trained with Liverpool's first-team squad on Friday according to Sky sources, after apologising to his team-mates for his conduct this summer.

The Uruguay international had been frozen out of first-team sessions after publicly demanding a transfer but the rift between player and club now appears be closing.

Suarez will definitely not feature in Saturday's Premier League opener at home to Stoke. He has six games left to serve of the 10-game ban he received for biting Branislav Ivanovic of Chelsea last April.

Despite his oft-stated desire to play Champions League football and a pair of bids from Arsenal, Liverpool have remained firm in their stance that he is not leaving and it appears increasingly likely that he will still be at Anfield when his suspension is completed.

Sky Sports reporter Vinny O'Connor said: "Luis Suarez has apologised to (manager) Brandan Rodgers and apologised to his team-mates over his general conduct.

"He has started his re-integration into the Liverpool first team and trained with them on Friday.

"Over a week ago, Brendan Rodgers said he would need an apology from Luis Suarez, as would the fans and his team-mates, after the apparent attempt by the player to force a move away from Anfield. It appears that the apology has come.

"Good news, in many ways, for Liverpool Football Club. It looks like things are beginning to settle down and Suarez is ready to fight for his first-team place."

Surely if we'd put players before the club we'd have let him go to wherever he wanted?
Making him stay and give something back to the club ( provided he does) in return for the support he's had is surely in our interest, not his?
Also, how can we applaud JH and BR for taking a strong stance and then complain about the result of that stance?

He **** on us and the club and was a ****. He lied, disrespected etc and I hated the uncomfortable position he put BR in in front of the hacks as well

Br and Jh couldn't have handled it any better so far and its refreshing to have the club put first, like Levy with Modric its victory for football really (providing he doesnt **** off before this window shuts)

Like Ive said before though mate, this is a massive season for us (the road back to glory is getting longer and longer-we've already struggled/failed with convincing Mikhi + Costa to come) and we must challenge for 4th, no excuses so with that in mind, i'd prefer Suarez on the pitch for us

  11. Challenge for fourth; yes.

    Get fourth...?

    Twisting my words mate.

He is a **** and I do want him gone..... but never to Arsenal, never to a PL rival. That is the stance of JH and BR really, not going to a club rival. If Real had actually come in, I would bet my last dollar he would have been ****ed off sharpish. You just answered it anyway, the club took control of the situation and didn't sell him to a rival as that is the only team that acutally came in, well done. he is still a **** and I still want to see the back of him. <ok>

Provided he does, if he gets the goals it is both our interests as he still gets the interest to get his move and we get the goals to move up the table. Could you also flip that and say due to his antics, we have lost a lure to our club and he has lost that interest in himself due to the baggage? Works both ways for me and the sooner we can break it, the better. There is enough talent out there to replace for me with a lot less baggage.

Ben Smith once again writing ****e. First two/three paragraphs (sentences) are new, the rest is copy/paste from the other 50 articles he's wrote about Suarez with nothing new.

Genuinely believe anyone on this board could do his job better than him. Disgraceful how he gets away with that.

Well, this is what you said:
So I don't see how my response could be seen as "twisting" your words. Perhaps I misunderstood your meaning.
    However, let it go.

I guess my expectations of footballers' loyalties just aren't too high, so I can't be bothered taking umbrage at his attitude.
Of more concern to me is how he performs on the pitch now-so I'm happy to see him smiling and joking because a good dressing room atmosphere is best for us all. If any fans are hurt, thinking he's just taking the piss, well I'd say he's the one who's come out of it looking like a mug.
What I do worry about is that, in a way, we're back to square one. We still have a player who's a walking ****storm and who knows what he'll get up to next?

"Suarez never actually said he wanted to leave. Liverpool is the city of forgiveness where everyone bar the unfaithful lover is to blame."

He's so upset after the events of today, what a desperate pathetic idiot <rofl>

    Finges, toes, eyes everything crossed

Problem is on paper Spurs look good, Arsenal know what to do and they will get a couple more players in surely and then you have the usual 3. Maybe dislodge Utd from top 4? :)

Not being funny, but I'd save planning your assault on 4th place post Suarez apparent U turn, until the 2nd Sept mate.

I'm almost as interested to see what happens to Utd as us.
I think they'll have enough momentum to keep them up there, tbh- but who knows?
Filling Fergie's boots is a big enough task for anyone, and I'm not convinced Moyes has what it takes.
    We'll see......

As I said elsewhere, im proceeding with caution, if Madrid or someone else abroad come sniffing im under no illusion that he might not be sold

And Even with Suarez in the team we need a couple more to mount the 4th place trophy challenge anyhow, id be happy with Willian and Cissokho
We do need a dm but BR doesnt seem to agree, think he'll use Gerrard as cover for Lucas
