And even worse is the likelihood that they are the teams to take advantage.

Makes sense. I wouldnt want to pay 75% tax in the last few years of playing (in reference to Falcao)

Anzi arn't paying that anymore either....what is a player to do I wonder... <yikes>

Question.....if we have sold Bale.... oh never mind.

Could sign for Spurs. We could arrange to pay them so they don't even hit the 50% tax bracket if they'd prefer!

I didn't think a player could move twice in 1 window?

In case anyone didn't know, Monaco had an unfair advantage over the rest of the clubs in the French league as they're players did not have to pay the top rate 75% income tax, instead they paid zero income tax. This meant that they were a much more attractive option to players, the club could offer vastly lower salaries than the French clubs but the player would still walk away with more money.

If Monaco's players are being forced to adhere to the French tax system, they're owners are going to have to shell out huge amounts of money to retain the players - a four fold salary increase for every player <yikes>

Season long loan with a buy-on clause? Say £5m?

    I think that's allowed <whistle>

Nothing mate. The only thing I've seen is that apparently Ade is training on his own as we want shot of him, & he won't feature in the squad on Sunday.

" And even worse is the likelihood that they are the teams to take advantage. "

I considered the failure of Chelsky to get either Falcao or Cavani to be a big moral blow,
Wouldn't you just know it. :(

Cmon Levy/Baldy, weave some sort of wonderous magic and arrange a swap for Falcao. I reckon we'd have a chance of the title with Falcao, Soldado and Bale

Even If falcao can move twice in 1 window, there's no way he's coming to us.

It's nice to dream I suppose.

"Could sign for Spurs. We could arrange to pay them so they don't even hit the 50% tax bracket if they'd prefer!"

On a standard "one man service company" arrangement, they could take their entire wages
as dividends (so 20% CT up to the first 40K etc, 40% on the rest) .

You'd probably run foul of 3rd party rules doing that :D

I'll be pissed off if they sell Moutinho just as we're full up of centre mids. Maybe we could get that Rodriguez fella instead <whistle>

"You'd probably run foul of 3rd party rules doing that" .

    Nope.
The player is on a contract "for services" with Spurs. Not an employee.
Therefore the players' employer (the "one man service company" ) decides how
to pay the "employee" (the player) , PAYE, dividends etc.

So monies paid as I said is quite legal.

"I'll be pissed off if they sell Moutinho just as we're full up of centre mids."

Oh I forgot about him (right wound up now) .

Isn't he always some variation of 8, though? 8 for Corinthians and 18 for Brazil.
