If Arry’s thought process with players went further than people who’ve already played for him and youtube videos of South American strikers we might have more of a squad. No Faurlin and we’re looking vulnerable through the middle. We’ve still got 2 and a half strikers which stuffed us last year. AJ’s predictably injured. Zamora needs to start earning his money tomorrow otherwise he might as well go and have that hip operation now
With only two fit strikers I'd like to see us go with five in midfield - Jenas, Henry and Barton in the middle and SWP and Hoilett on the flanks.
Exactly what I was thinking. Barton needs to play in the middle, SWP is looking sharp and will give any Championship defense problems, Hoilett is obvious, Jenas would suit Barton's style of play, Suk is good and our only LB, Ned is #1 CB, Hill (until Dunne is fit), Austin is the #1 forward and BZ is in because we haven't got anyone else (yet!).
