Anyone watching the game? Absolutely dire performance so far! So frustrating to watch. Walcott is the most irritating player I've ever seen. Also, why the hell cant Crapello speak English yet? All that money he gets and he cant be bothered to learn it it 3 years. and what the **** were the wall and Hart doing for the second goal! Thank god for Wilshere, come on super frank!!!!! Better than the vile Gerrard any day
That sitter by Bent is clearly an indication of poor tuition whilst at the academy of whatever club he started his professional career.
and there was i thinking that an England match would surpass our tribal rivalries... C'mon England!!!!
How did Bent miss!!!!!! Bloody infuriating performance, we never string more than 4 passes together before whacking it. Some say Wilshere is a barcelona type player, well not on this display. Stupid dinked balls and whacked ones instead of keeping it. Also, to make it worse, ITVs coverage is utter dog ****e. **** you Adrian Chiles, stop umming and erring
No creativity without rooney, just go to show how england are almost now a one man team, the quicker capello F's off the better, out with John terry too whos never captained any tournament where england have even finished where expected. I dont care about the next euro's and nor should the FA after the debacle of the world cup, we should be priming these youngsters and the talent of the future but not under cappello because when he goes we have got to do it all again with a new manager........ its a mess!
With performances like this, it does beg the question (and maybe this should go in the Geldof thread...) would England be better with a team of "hungry" players? A team of average players, with good team spirit and a desire to keep going to the final whistle (remind you of anyone?) could probably put in just as good a performance as this lot of overpaid prima donna's can. If we picked our team from the players who usually get overlooked for England, and so what if they're from the lower leagues, then maybe we'd actually get a decent performance out of them, whilst also laying the foundations for the future as young players could get involved! As for the manager, I'd get rid of Capello, but I don't know who I'd bring in. Lambert is not going anywhere! I'd love to see Stuart Pearce given a go, he's certainly got the passion we need, but to play with a team of potentially less technically gifted players would need spot on tactics, something I don't think he would be entirely capable of. So in an England team picked from young, "hungry", hard working players from any league, who would you want?
M O Neill would be my choice. At least someone who speaks English decently! Not sure whether we should have an English manager or not, to be honest it seems pretty stupid to have a manager from a different country managing you, you cant have players from elsewhere. But unless there is a change in the rule we might as well exploit it and I personally dont see many good English managers around. Theres Harry Redknapp obviously but I dont really like him. Dunno why, I just dont and I like Spurs.
I would dump Terry for one thing and replace him with Jagielka or Cahill. A.Cole for Baines Wasnt impressed with Parker today. My team for euro, if we qualify (good that Montenegro only drew tonight) Standard 4 defence, 4 mid, 2 strikers GK) Hart - poor today but best we've got RB) Walker (cant stand Johnson) CB)Rio Ferdinand (Cahill if he is injured) CB)Jagielka LB)Baines RM)A.Johnson (Walcott as impact sub) CM)Wilshere CM)Lampard (Henderson or Rodwell if they progress) LM)A.Young CF)Rooney CF)Bent (Best we have tbh, even though average) Would bring back Owen into the fold over the likes of Bloody Crouch and Zamora I think if we brought in 'hungry lower league players etc, we might have more heart but lets be fair we'd be crap compared to other big nations and get battered. The best route is to use our best young players around and try and develop them.
The last time we looked good was Euro96...........The last 15 years has been a big overpriced, under achievement...... Rednapp, O Neil, Ferguson it makes no difference we are dog ****........ We will never win a trophy in my lifetime....
I hope this isnt the case but I fear it will be true. We just cant keep the ball, the way we play football is absolutely dire to watch and the media play an awful part in our failure too, slagging off players. Going over the top when we dont win and string a couple of results together hype them up
