After knuckling down and staying at Liverpool, Suarez helped them become champions after scoring 107 league goals, including the famous last minute winner on the last day of the season to clinch the title, which gave the iconic badge kiss pictures he will forever be remembered for. That off-season, he signed a 9 year contract extension, ensuring he would retire with the club he loved. His 2nd daughter, named Steven (after Steven Mulhern - whom Suarez loved to watch perform his incredible magic tricks) was born that year, and she would later go on to become the highest scorer for Liverpool Ladies. His many humanitarian and philanthropic ventures were typical of his good nature, most remembered on the football field where he corrected the referee on 2 incorrectly given penalties on the penultimate game of the 2016/17 season, in a game Liverpool lost and ultimately cost them the title. He later became Prime Minister of the UK (despite being a dirty daigo foreigner) and cured all conflict in the Middle East. After securing world peace in 2039, Suarez was named first ruler of the newly-formed Earth-Alliance-Republic. Everyone lived happily ever after.

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Valencia left-back Aly Cissokho on a season long-loan. The France international, who was linked with a move to join Sunderland, has agreed to join Liverpool on an initial loan with a view to a permanent move. Manager Brendan Rodgers has been looking for reinforcements at left-back as Jose Enrique is his only senior player in that position and has identified the Frenchman as a viable option. Cissokho is expected to travel to Merseyside next week to undergo a medical and agree personal terms at Anfield.
