I know BR's views are different to mine but there are a whole host of player that would go before Henderson for me.
Heard it was only £5m. Either way think we've done well this window, if we get Willian to add the final bit of the jigsaw
Would put Allen up for the chopping block before Hendo. Good news about Cissokho. Hope we get Willian. If we do that'll be some excellent business this summer.
Look what the **** Ben Smith has to say on the BBC: please log in to view this image In such a hurry to get a dig in at any cost he forgets basic punctutation. What an incompetent twat.
How about: no more on the chopping block this year, and let's see who can prove themselves in a "settled" Rodgers side?
Shame nothing happened when those rumours of a £12mil bid from a club in Italy for Borini were true. Would have been a deal too good to turn down I think.
I think you've lost the plot. Allen should be behind the likes of Flanagan and Jones to play, regardless of positions.
Now, was you being sarcastic there or was you saying Flanno and Jones should be ahead in the chopping list? If it the latter then I agree but was focusing on first teamers, if its the former then...
Cissokho is a very good player based on his days at Porto. Struggled at Valencia though. If he can rediscover his form, he's an absolute beast. Comparing him to Enrique - quite similar. They are both physical players, although Cissokho is taller and is likely to win more aerial duels (something we lack!). I do think Cissokho is also better going forward and grabs a few assists. I would have preferred the Brazillian as he is different - more of a ball playing defender, classy on the ball, clever, plays with intelligence and is very good at set pieces. Anyways, I'm happy with Cissokho - provides welcome competition at LB and he has a big club experience so he should be used to the expectations of LFC fans.
I think he could end up being our first choice at left back, he's a good athlete, strong and fast, lost of Champion's League experience. Don't see him being a massive upgrade on Enrique, but could bring a bit more consistency to the position.
Where was that taken from as on his article on bbc he says "Manager Brendan Rodgers had wanted to sign another left back, Guilherme Siqueira from Spanish club Granada, but the clubs failed to agree a fee". Failing to agree a fee is a bit difference to failing in a bid.. just ask Arsenal fans
I really want Borini to come good for us this season, I knows there's a decent player in there, I just knows it (I can feel it in my water).
Valencia played a pretty conservative back four last season, it's speculative but I don't think the system suited him.
Exactly Frank,Borini barely had a chance last season through various injuries. And lets see how Allen gets on after his own injury problems,I think he will do ok for us. Skrtel may re-discover his form of the 11/12 season and Coates could...............well,you get my drift. Patience required sometimes.
