We've been nicknamed the Tigers for decades, so now would someone in Asia care about us now, just because we've slapped it on the end of Hull or Hull City Tigers?

If you think it's going to happen Mr Allam, show the fans how you're going to do it. Because you have muppets thinking a small Yorkshire club can compete with Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bacellona on the foreign Markets without their considerable backing and success on the pitch. Also, people saying we're going to get Tiger Beer interested, when we offer them very little return on their money. SBOBET don't make me laugh.

I agree with the poster above it's all about his tiff with the council.

I think its all about blind sentimentality and people clutching at straws to try to justify it.

I tell you what John, why don't Mr Allam and all the undiscerning brown tongued folk who love this Hull Tigers concept start their own new fun happy clappy club somewhere outside the city boundary and leave our common, irrelevant club alone?

I'm sure it'll be a roaring (see what I did there?) success and will be followed eagerly in Malaysia, South Korea and anywhere else where they like fierce furry animals more than 4-3-3.

Very few people LOVE the idea, they just dont HATE it as much as others. The fact that you hate it does not make you a "better" or more loyal supporter than those of us who "dont love it but dont hate it" either.

I've explained above what I think it's all about, what evidence is there to suggest that it's all about blind sentimentality and people clutching at straws to try to justify it?

There is no substance to your opinion. Your opinion & behaviour is exactly the same as that you are describing others of displaying.

You're choosing to ignore reasoned arguments without offering any return explanation to how this financial success will occur. Your blind belief of what the Allam's say (despite the documented mis-leading & mistruths) is clutching at straws in itself.

Why have they not unveiled a business plan? Why have they not revealed how they will break these markets? The only reasonable explanation based on all the public evidence available is that it is a swipe at the council.

There is not one bit of common sense in what you've just said, just blind sentimentality. <laugh>

Because this is a privately owned company, and not a democratically elected committee. They are not obliged to share anything.

What difference does that make? They announced a major restructuring strategy without substantiating how they were going to achieve their targets.

Why did they announce the renaming to achieve world domination in the HDM,? Why didn't they announce it in to the world's press? Why are the only subsequent interviews been done locally?

Stop your wishy washy retorts and offer back some reasoned debate.

We've been going as Hull City AFC for 109 years.

Hull City Tigers is still on the drawing board.

    Like the Melton Stadium.

    And the 40,000 seater KC.

We were, we are and we always will be HULL CITY AFC.

Try Leicester Tigers or Castleford Tigers if the furry carnivore is what excites you brown tongue types.

No they didn't, they just altered the name of the holding company - and 6 months later Allam decided to give his reasoning in the local rag.

    What are you on about?
    Major what?

The owner is attempting a minor re-branding by removing AFC to bring investment into the club and this is being opposed by blind sentimentality.

That's not true. They announced their intention to change the name of the club because he doesn't like the word "City" despite denying they would do this. They gave a weak excuse that is was to maximise business abroad although they offered no explanation as to how this would be achieved.

If you don't see the changing of the name of the club you support and as a result change there business strategy as a major restructuring then the name of the club can't mean much to you.

    More wishy washy
