Thanks for the congrats folks.... mlle yorkie "considering" whether to take up her univ place... whilst at w/e music festival.... erm.... oh yeah!
yes there were and very much appreciated it was too as we all said at the time. my cack handed comment earlier was purely meant as "we get loads of flack now you know what it's like". it was unfortunate as i do actually like the vast majority of your posters including your good self as it happens. i should also point out that i am a cantankerous old git who goes off on one too easily. as you rightly point out AK's original post on this thread says everyone is welcome so apologies for the over reaction.
Credit to you Dan. I went onto the Leicester board to warn them that Superhorn seems to be going around rival boards all over the net and winding people up. Having said that, (s)he does at least put forward reasonable arguments until the threads turn into slanging matches. (S)he never seems to post on Watford boards, though. A little banter ensued, following my comment, which we continued here, briefly. Fosse has been fine. One thing I would like to ask Fosse. How would Leicester fans feel if their name reverted to Leicester Fosse? Personally, I think the old name has a lot of character and, as the esteemed owner of Hull Panthera Tigres points out, 'City' is so common.
Series of big earthquakes near Wellington this afternoon. I hope KiwiQPR is all right. There doesn't appear to be a general chat thread like the Nest on the QPR board.
Morning all from a wet Weston-super-Mare, supposed to be dry and sunny by now, It's a shame the weather doesn't look up what it's supposed to be like and follow orders! Have a good day all!
Strangely enough NZ, this was discussed to some extent on the thread that superhorn started ... when we went into administration there was a poll on our 'new name' - I actually voted for Leicester Fosse, as did quite a few others on our board by the look of it - for me it was because I felt it would be going back to our roots and to a time when money (and its' misuse) was not the ruling football god ... that said, when I was a boy growing up in inner city Leicester the football team was universally referred to as 'the City' possibly to differentiate from 'the Tigers' ... you'd never hear us referred to as 'the Foxes' which is quite common these days ..
I was talking to a couple of my mates about Leicester last night - one of our first memories of you was that "famous" FA Cup match in the 70s when the pitch was covered in snow and keith weller was wearing tights and pretty much won the game single handed. That man was years ahead of his time!

We bought frú some new walking boots yeaterday, what trouble. Do these go with..., I could use my training shoes, etc Today is very clouded but there is a little blue sky towards HúsavÃk. We have a 300m long iceberg floating towards the land at least we can see it arriving.
Thank you Ak for the caramel latte, will you use the iceberg to cool the cold drinks when it arrives?
Morning all from a damp and muggy bandit country - tickets and train tickets for tomorrow all sorted. Very good deal on the train - just £15 each return from bandit country to Reading. Takes a bit longer but means we can spend pre-match in the town in a decent pub and get a decent lunch! Thanks for the frothy AK - much appreciated.
How close to the shore does it come? I remember being in Greenland once and there was a massive one outside the hotel. You could hear it cracking which was a bit disturbing.
How about a "chip off the old block?" Sorry Ak I hope your understanding of colloquial English allows you to understand the joke!
The iceberg might hit us. I does not matter it is a floating piece of ice we are on a slid rock connected to the rest of the world. There is only one winner and it is not the iceberg. If the water movement does not take it somewhere else it will stop where the underneath runs to ground. Similar but smaller, like father and son?
Weller was my dad's favourite player, the more flamboyant Frank worthington mine (I was just a kid) ... Weller was phenomenal ... the team that the then manager Jimmy Bloomfield built still ranks (for me) as the best Leicester City team of my lifetime ..
I think they may need something strong and I am sure we hope they are all right. No reports of fatalities at least.
Afternoon all... We have rain! No watering the garden this evening then. Just collected my new glasses from the optician. Cost a fortune and I'm not sure I can see small print any clearer than before. The optician promises my eyes will adjust in a day or two. Hmmmmm....
