The palace defence is likely to be

    ---------------- Speroni

    Ward --- Gabbidon -- Delaney --- Moxey

Our new players couldn't ask for an easier defence to test themselves agaisnt.

You said that, but this is just the sort of game we end up getting a **** result from, and end up saying things like "same old tottenham"! <laugh>.

I love the start of the season, as I miss football. But I hate the start of OUR season.

I'm quite confident about this game for some reason as I know palace will be up for it and Holloway will have his players fired up but their defence really is crap that chances will come even if we're not gelling.

    Well, enjoy saturday!

I think (perhaps hope is a better word) we'll beat Palace. On paper its a decent opening game despite being away and despite them being up for it as they are newly promoted.
Its another one of those "if we can't beat that lot then chuck the targets for the season in the bin" games

Palace's first Premier League game for several years should see the third-highest attendance at Selhurt Park for the season.

The two highest-attended games will be when the masses of plastics in Croydon pack the ground for the Chelsea and Man Utd games...

HI HIBC, I thought this one would sell out and thus be 'joint top'? Any news on how the tickets are going?

I know some Spurs fans will be in 'non-Spurs' areas.

I reported the other day that Spurs had more ticket requests for this game than any other away game for more than 4 seasons.

Palace have made this a category A match and for their non season ticket holders, they have to buy a category B game ticket as well when buying a ticket for this game.

The loyalty point cut off for the Palace game is higher than Arsenal!
    290 points for palace
    274 points for Arsenal.

Luckily for me I've got more than enough but I know of quite a few that are gutted to miss out.

There's a lot of controversy going on at the moment about the clubs' policy on loyalty points. What with the scandalous arrangement with StubHub, I can see justification for many fans moans about how the club is being run away from the playing side.

Using Stubhub encouraged touts to rip off genuine fans.
I think it's a disgrace and would never sell a ticket on there.
Some of the ticket prices on there for the Swansea game are disgusting.

If I can't make it to a game then I give it to one of the lads to take his kid.
I can honestly say that I've never made money selling on a ticket, I couldn't rip off another Spurs fan.

Loyalty points is a different matter, I've lost another 90 odd this season on top of the 400 odd I lost last season!

Palace = poor side and poor manager - lucky even to make play offs last season after a terrible run - the only thing that can beat us today is ourselves

Only trouble with your assesment is that they have 8 new players so it's not the same side as last season.

Most free transfers and only one significantly over £1m - that star Peterborough player Gayle. Oh - and they lost Wilfried Zaha - whose value was more than double the total of their signings. I still think we only have to beat ourselves.
Holloway is not a Premiership quality manager. His record with Place is only 13 wins from37 games - in the Championship.

If we are to have any success this season at all we need to brush aside the likes of Palace - we cannot afford our usual hesitant start to a season
