He did. Think I read that Doyle was probably going to go to Celtic, not sure if I could back that up with a link.

I think we're pretty much done in the transfer window now. Maybe Bruce will try to bring a wide/forward in if we can shift Fryatt & Mclean.

If we're going to be playing 4-3-3 we have Sagbo, Graham & Prozzy who all fill that central striker role, but for the left & right forward positions i think we're a little thin. Brady on the left, Aluko on the right could be our first choice but it would be nice to get someone young & pacy on loan to add a bit of competition.

Always thought James Forrest was a decent youngster for Celtic. Would command a high fee though.

I've mentioned him before, but I'd love us to get Jefferson Montero as a wide option. He'd be too rich us now though, after splashing out on our Huddlestone.

As for Rincon. Hamburg are desperate to offload some players. We could get him at a steal.

Without a doubt SB has and will continue to bring in quality players(when needed) and players that many fans ask how did he do that ? I think that the Huddlestone and Livermore signings will impact on others wanting to join us if asked.

Phil Browns naughty step ended up being a Patio.

I agree or after deadline day when all the FAT's are still available. Some real bargains still out there and available.
Has anyone noticed how poor Jordan Rhodes looks at the moment. Just saying like.

    Utter rubbish. ^^^ this.

I mentioned Celtic for Doyle and TommyTigger Alloa Athletic. Dont be surprised to see Doyle to sign for a scottish club though. I dont see any PL or championship club paying what he would cost. Celtic have the Hooper wonga for starters.

It has been strongly rumoured yes. Guess it could depend if Celtic get to the CL group stages mind.

Agreed. Maybe Januzaj from Manchester United on loan? Not sure how wide he can play though. If he's free, Serge Gnabry from Arsenal?

I'm surprised we haven't shifted more. It's good to have depth but I can't Mclean or Fryatt doing much other than cup games.

I think Fryatt has a role to play and I also wouldn't be surprised if we got a young striker in on loan from Man U, but that would be it until summer. Steve Bruce has done a sensational job for the club at the present time

    Henriquez maybe?

I think he was the very first name linked with us this summer.

we can't sign any more players on loan from Premier League clubs. You are only allowed 2 domestic loans (Graham and Livermore)

I think that what we have should be sufficient, our main problem was a goalie, then strikers and finally the midfield.
We have sorted all those out now, I'm ready to kick Chelski's arse.

Yeah, but aren't you allowed loads of under-21 loans? Or have I made that up?

Yeah I think you can have youth loans. I'd have to check, but I don't think they count towards the loan limit. I'm not sure what the rules on foreign loans are either.

This PL thing has ****ed my knowledge right up!

Quote from Steve Bruce in the Mail.

"Every manager is never, ever satisfied and I’d be happy with one more in but if we didn’t do anything else then we’ve done very, very well with what we have managed to bring in."

So... one more to follow then.

Drat, I thought that was it and I could have an early quiet night on the evening of the transfer window closing.
