In 3 years you'll have a degree and a load of debt, good luck.

Never mind, you can always re-brand yourself to try and get more income.

I'll never earn enough money to pay it off so i'm not bothered.

Don't bring that into this ****ing thread as well...

Congrats mate. I got my A-Level results 18 years ago - still paying off the resulting Uni debts now. <cheers>

Good work guy, don't worry about the debts, getting my degree helped me earn twice as much as I ever would without it so just view it that way!

    Have a great time

Good. You can replace Buckingham at the HDM when you qualify.

You can do sports journalism rather than just journalism?!? I assume it covers both but what are you thinking, broadcast or print? Anyway, uni isnt about that. Just make sure your balls are red raw and your liver aches.

And youre right, it's unlikely you'll earn enough to pay off the loans, it's one of the lowest paid jobs out there. I dont feel bad about saying that cos you obviously already know this. I literally couldnt believe it when I heard about 3 years back what the chief sports reporter at the YP earned.

    Well done.

It does cover both, but personally i'm looking more towards print. Not good in front of a camera.

    Absolutely damn right!

Well done fella, I live in Hudds and it's a decent place. Uni is a lot bigger and well thought of than most would imagine.

Should be a fun 3yrs mate.

Congratulations pal! Uni is the best experience you can have while you're young (says the 25 year old who left last August).

Huddersfield is a great uni and I have friends who studided Sports Journalism, they loved it. One now works for BBC Radio Solent. The other works for a newspaper in Ipswich.

I hated A-Level results day, but it's weird when you look at your results and think "What the **** was I worried about?"

Don't worry about the debt, it's something we all have to tackle at some point. My repayments barely make a dent in my paycheck, so don't even think about it.

    <ok>

    Well done mate.
