Man Utd win the CL in 2008 and Ronaldo is begging to go to a Real team which was far worse at the time. They even took Figo off Barca, I am sorry but they are the biggest and every player in the world would love to play for them. After all they have 9 Cl and are far ahead of Barca in terms of leagues and Cl titles. They are the biggest team in the world and were voted the best team in the 20th century.
Exactly, they are a team with great history but the present and future for them is not great. Countless players and managers have wasted and/or ruined their careers by joining the Real Madrid circus.
Real met Sahin's buyout clause so we could have offered £100 million and it wouldn't have made a difference - if Sahin wanted to go to Real there was nothing us or Dortmund could have done to stop him. Dotmund are the ones who missed a trick by letting such a talented player get away with such a low buyout clause. I think the same thing happened with Ozil - Real only had to meet his buyout clause and they got him. Damn those financially responsible German clubs...
