Welbeck winds me up. I didn't watch the game apart from the goals. But I know that this is yet another one of your tedious, ignorant, loaded comments. Is supporting Chelsea really that frustrating and dull? Palace are in the Premiership now, why not support your local club?
Lambert could had scored 3 today .. do people think he should be given another chance? he always impressed me in the league .. but same apply on carroll and Sturridge too another below bar performance by Rooney .. should he be benched next match?
who was better than him ? ..I think MOM was a fair nomination, not bcz he was special , but bcz he simply did better than the rest... he rarely lost the ball and he kept england moving all the time and worked hard for the team even in tracking the ball back and he finished that performance with a goal
I did note the Chav FC players were quite poor along with Hart, hope thiss continues into the PL from the weekend
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...243771/England-v-Scotland-player-ratings.html Considering that Rooney according to the Telegraph and other papers didn't play so well last night and was essentially upstaged by Ricky Lambert, is he going to spit his dummy out again and demand a chance of nationality .
Morrison also a fair shout. Tbh, I think Welbeck got MOTM by default for being the only England player to play the entire match and not be bang average. He's shown that he can link well with Rooney for Utd and England, almost a shame Utd have RVP now, so they don't get to play together much at club level. Defence is now a big problem for England. Jagielka and Cahill are nowhere near good enough, and that seems to be affecting Hart's confidence in his players. It's almost worth writing off the current campaign to blood Jones and Smalling for Euro 16. Heck, given how bad we were at the back last night it might even help our chances of making the WC.
The fact Hodgson is having to select sub standard centre halves like Cahill and Jagielka is entirely his own fault.
Partly true, although you can hardly blame Hodgson for Terry throwing his dummy out of the pram after the FA decided to treat him in exactly the same way as other players (and arguably more leniently than Suarez).
Same rule broken, not arguably, definitely. Welbeck was gash but improved, there were at least 2 Scottish players who played better than anyone in an England shirt. Rooney is again a default pick, offered nothing much more than a body, poor touch and control. Cleverly did well though, definitely one of the better England players though the movement and positioning of the England team actually limited his passing options I thought, had he had better options to pass to he'd have done even better, all too often he had to pass sideways or backwards because of the lack of good runs and or movement, England were far to static at times
Fair comments - at least Welbeck kept moving and was more dynamic than most of the other England players. But don't suggest Cleverley should as the alternative MOTM to Welbeck - you'll just get the Chelsea fans even more wound up
Probably not. They're still sitting in dark rooms rocking backwards and forwards repeating "Cole is better than Baines" over and over
