This is the article off the City website: Tom Huddlestone says he is looking forward to a fresh challenge after joining the Tigers at what he feels is an exciting time. The midfielder was signed on a three-year contract from Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, just a few days before the Tigers get their Barclays Premier League campaign underway with a mouth-watering trip to Chelsea, and Huddlestone can’t wait to get going in a black and amber shirt. “These are obviously very exciting times for the club and for me,” said Huddlestone. “Hopefully I can come here, cement my place in the starting eleven and do well for the club. “There were a few teams interested in signing me, but I had the chance to speak to Steve Bruce. I liked his ideas, the role he saw for me within the team and how he wants the team to play. Speaking to the manager here was the thing that made my mind up to come here really. “The main objective here is totally different to what it is at Tottenham. Here, I think if we finish 15th or 16th we will see it as a good season because our main objective is to stay in the division and then build on that in the future. “Hopefully I can bring a bit of experience to the side. I’m fairly comfortable on the ball and have a good passing range which is probably the strongest part of my game.” Not only does Huddlestone add Premier League experience to the Tigers’ squad, he also has experience playing at international level having won four senior caps for England. His most recent appearance came in a friendly against Sweden last November and he hopes that playing regularly and well for the Tigers will help to bring him to the attention of England boss Roy Hodgson once again. “If I can play regularly in the Premier League it can help,” added Huddlestone. “I think after six or seven games for Tottenham last season, Roy Hodgson put me back in the England squad which was a bonus in itself. “So if I can play a full season here, play well with the team playing well I don’t see why it can’t happen again.” Back to the present and Huddlestone will join up with his new team-mates for training for the first time on Thursday hoping to catch Steve Bruce’s eye in a bid to win a place in the starting eleven for Sunday’s trip to Stamford Bridge. “I’ll be ready to train on Thursday and then we’ll see what the manager decides to do,” said Huddlestone. “Games don’t come much bigger than Chelsea away, especially with Mourinho’s return and everything else that goes with it.” While it is midfield duties that Huddlestone must primarily concentrate on, the former Derby County man is keen to find the back of the net for the Tigers sooner rather than later. Arriving at the club’s training ground with a full head of hair nurtured over the past couple of seasons, the 26-year-old has vowed not to have it cut until he finds the back of the net. While his mission has also raised plenty of money for charity, he is hoping for a ‘short back and sides’ soon. “I started this off for charity about 18-20 months ago and said I wouldn’t cut my hair until I scored my next competitive goal,” added Huddlestone. “Unfortunately I then missed the rest of the season through injury and, as you can tell, I didn’t manage to score last season. “Hopefully a goal will come sooner rather than later!” Good stuff to hear.

Because dead people living on the moon is almost as ridiculous (but not quite) as the Allams paying 5m pounds to take supporters minds off the name change. Full Disclosure I don't mind the name change. But The Tigers will always be "City" to me. But I can go along with it (the name change that is). Strangely one of my American friends who is a Patriots fan, when we talk about City he always wants to call them the "Hull City Tigers". So maybe its the American market we are going for!
True and Dudgeon can cover if we're playing 3-5-2. I'd be reluntant to move Aluko wide, unless we are desperate. Aluko is x-factor in our side. The last thing we want is stiffling outwide.
