We need to score at least 2 goals. Our defence has not been very secure during the preseason matches...
Not really . he'll slip down the pecking order if he doesn't start pulling his socks up .I'm waiting for the flak but Shelvey has been on fire since signing for us and he's a lot more direct, he can actually strike a ball rather well (all we have to do next is to widen the target area ).Looking forward to this one as we're in with a chance of a winning result but a draw well I wouldn't turn my nose up at one all the same.
and Bony apparently, 2 players that would cause us problems, hopefully we can nick a 1 0 but we will see
No flak here. Shelvey's a quality player. Now the scousers have sold him of course He'll be competing with Downing and Carroll for POTY come May
He played last night in New York V Mexico , I haven't heard of any injuries but he won't be back in the UK until Friday. We all know how hard it is to sit in Business class . He played the full 90 minutes so maybe he'll be on the bench Saturday. He's definitely one to watch with 3 goals (one incorrectly ruled offside ) in two games
Bony was subbed in the 72nd minute but by all accounts the whole team strolled through this fixture and looked completely disinterested. Really can't blame them. Who organises these daft friendlies so close to the new season? I mean Mexico v Ivory Coast in New York? Come on. I expect Bony to start but if not will almost certainly play a part. De Guz is out for 10 days but no biggie.
With due respect to the Swans, we should get 3 points out of this match. If DM is looking to start off where SAF left. Never EVER be satisfied with 1 point. A draw is always 2 points lost against ANY team at any ground.
Personally I think this is the Swans best chance to beat Man U. In previous seasons I have gone to this fixture and have been pleased that we have kept the score down (0-1, 0-2, 1-1, 1-2). But I will actually be surprised if the Swans don't win this one. Man U have had changes behind the scenes, a poor pre-season (by their standards) and issues off the pitch with Rooney. Not ideal preparation. The Swans have made some good signings who have already bedded in and the match is set up for an outstanding contest. Man U are not Champions for nothing, but expect a tough battle on Saturday Prediction: Swans 2 Man U 1
I'll be surprised if we win a game this season. I know we walked the title last season but all the other clubs are now better than us. Moyes out.
I'm measuring myself for a Chelsea and City shirt as we speak. I need to have both, depending on which of them finally, inevitably, but also subtly, displaces us as the major force in English football.
