How refreshing to have a business man in charge, who admits not knowing anything about football. Just front up with the money when Steve Bruce asks for it.
He does not present his arguments in the most coherent way. I thought he also looked miffed probably due to the extent of the criticism received. Not great PR but there is a fundamental point he is making which is the club needs more revenue to sustain its Premier League position. Whether the re-branding achieves that remains to be seen, but as an owner of the club where he is liable for any deficit, surely he has the right to decide what tactics to adopt to close this deficit.
He's looking at the club purely as a self sustaining business. It's one thing that clubs, especially this one, have lacked over the year. Not muddled headed sentimentality, which unfortunately in this day and age does not pay the bills. Caress the commercial and financial realities of modern day football, and curse SKY SPORT, or die. Those who would now wish for Hull City Tigers to die please form an orderly queue at the North Ferriby turnstiles.
Agree to an extent regarding him deciding tactics, but it can be put across to supporters much better than it has been since he took over. FFS Levy was made to look like Paxman.
Is this the same man who said we're having a 40,000 stadium with £5 a go admission? Is this the same man who said we were moving to Melton in the next 18 months?
i thought he was funny when he was on about the councilor "the only thing he's achieved is bringing down some flats"
and tbh good riddance of the "old school " types ... they are the problem ,.. now its about families .. getting into the spirit .. embracing the sky sports mentality .. thank god we have an owner who will do that at last ...
It is funny, but equally despite how pathetic Geraghty is, Papa does not do himself any favours by doing this.
To be fair, I am a little shocked by this interview. I thought it was edited for a laugh but then I realised this was a genuine interview.
