Regardless of other events. We were lacking quality in midfield. We let two midfielders join Blackburn. It doesn't take much to work out we were going to sign some midfielders, and as we're now a PL club it doesn't take much to work out that one of them would probably cost more than the likes of Meyler and Brady.

You don't have to justify your opinion because it differs from mine, but if you keep bobbing in with comments, it's not unreasonable for someone to ask you to elaborate.

It's not a competition with a winner, it's an exchange of views, but the fact you seem to pop up to be contrary, but are generally unable to support your opinion, before sulking as you have in the quote leaves me thinking you didn't have a considered opinion in the first place, but were just looking to argue (poorly).

You're missing the point, it's all about timings. Ok then, why didn't Allam's quotes about the name change come out, say on Friday? Coming out last week was no accident or coincidence. It has all been carefully orchestrated in terms of timings.

I'm not missing the point at all. I'm simply showing that I could have made the exact same prediction last week for reasons completely unrelated to the name change. Drawing the prediction into the conspiracy theory is no more reliable than it would be for me to have made that prediction and then turned round and gone "I told you so, my sources are good" and claiming to be ITK. The only difference is that me doing it would be self serving where as yours is more innocently seeing it that way because you have the perception in the first place. Maybe it's stuff I'm missing being posted on here (I'm not trawling the HDM online and reading half articles only to find it's in the other half) but other than saying we'll be asked about the shirt/badge* for next season I'm still to see anything different being said last week to what was said weeks ago (including the online statement by the club), so any choreographing seems to be being done to boost circulation rather than by the club.

*As far as the shirt goes, if they're planning on the name change for branding they can't very well change our colours other than to go Siberian Tiger, and I can't see them going for FC's colours.

btw, did you edit my username in the quote? Where it says originally posted by it's left out the whole bit in brackets. That could make things confusing given how many of us have changed our names.

I've stated why I hold the opinion I do and I'm comfortable if people want to challenge that. You've said yours is just a gut feeling with nothing to substantiate it. That's fine, but don't be upset if people point out the short comings in that position.
