Doctor...<laugh> Jeez If you are a doctor that frankly i doubt then why are you moaning when a nhs doctor can earn a 6 figure sum. the basic is £80k so why do they deserve that...give me a family doctor that you could call a friend who would take the time to call at your house if you needed him......today you have to be a mind reader and look into the future for when you are going to be ill and then they wont call at your house,,,,how the profession has gone backwards with greed...

I probably overreacted with my thing about doctors, but most were stuck up, only 2 I have trust in, 1 of those (the one who initially figured it out), no longer works in my GP, so I am down to 1, who in fairness has been great too. But yeah experience for me is not good with doctors, even specialists, they just don't listen, its the case of, "your wrong, I know how you feel, I know what is wrong, I am a doctor, I know what I am talking about"

And for the record, I am not a policeman, was medically discharged from the forces, through my illness.

Seeing as this is an anonymous internet forum can I ask what condition you were diagnosed with?

Obviously I understand if you'd rather not say.

Doctors. Probably the most over-paid profession outside banking in the UK.

    Food allergy?

There is a tremendous disparity of treatment between different GP's. Some approach the job as if working in a factory, get them in get them out quick as possible, but many do genuinely care.

    Yup.

No-one is forced to buy sky, a football shirt, or go to a football match.

Their salary is decided by market forces.

I don't begrudge footballers. If somebody is that thick to pay somebody 250grand a week to kick a ball, then well done the footballer.

Well am waiting to see the immunologist, to get more answers, but yes, it seems a food allergy, I think its an Egg Allergy, that is more to do with the protein Lecithin, as I found Soya also caused a problem. Its still all guess work, but since cutting Eggs, Soya and Sunflower (all for Lecithin reasons) I have been feeling much better.

Its the reason why I have little faith in GP's, or specialists, other than the 2 that helped me and actually took the time to listen, as like you said, the rest felt more like a conveyor belt, get them in, get them out, and when all results were coming back fine, it got to the point where I felt as though they no longer believed me, and it was a horrible place to be, Doctors are supposed to be there to help, I can't even describe how alone that makes you feel, when those meant to help, don't seem to believe, that disbelief then made my family doubt it, after all, if a Doctor says nothing is wrong, what else are they supposed to think? It was very lonely indeed, and I didn't know what was making me feel ill at the time, until I was seen by a locum (spelling?) I dread to think what would have happened if I never seen her.

So yeah, not much time for Doctors as a whole, there are a few tidy ones, I just find from personal experience the others are so far up their own backsides, they just give me the impression that because they studied, they are better, and right.

Probationary police officers earn now here near 30 grand, there is one for a start. It wasnt meant as an insult but in my opinion you are anasty person. I dont care what you say about wording, It was totally belittling that these people gave there life for people like you to walk the streets safely. I am not going to get into an arguement with you over this. But most decent moral people would see that the comment you made was well out of order.

I am all for debate and disagreement, but cannoy accept the comment you made about the death of another human being.

TLF I'm with you all the way on this, I think it was a flippant, despicable remark about people who give their lives in the service of others. A single death is simply intolerable. I cannot believe someone who claims to be a doctor can make such a throwaway remark and then claim we are to thick to understand the real 'meaning'.
If that is the standard of the modern healthcare 'profesional', god help us. The reality though is its probably some ignorant troll.

No you choose to deliberately misinterpret the comment I made so you can take some sort of idiotic moral high-ground.

The risk for a Police officer to lose their life on duty is extremely low. Lollipop ladys are more likely to be killed on the job than police officers - this is a fact. The guy whose comment I was responding to understood my point - I'm amazed you can't/won't.

There is no moral highground you made the comment that not only i found repulsive and that was why i am making these comments but it appears I am not the only one who thinks that what you said was unacceptable.

I would never belittle the death of any person, but you obviously think that is an acceptable thing to do. no matter how many times you say you didnt mean it that way. You were the one who said WOW only 5 people killed, and that comment is repulsive, whether it be police officers, lollipop ladies or a person from any walk of life the comment is totally unacceptable.

Read back in the discussion I was having with that guy. He said police should get paid more because they risk getting killed. I said in reality they don't very often. He said tell that to the family of those two shot dead. I said "wow" (referring to the following statistics and not the women killed) 5 police officers killed in 20 years is statistically nothing compared to other professions. He agreed and then said to also consider the amount of **** police go through instead, to which I agreed.

If i said, for example, only 5 soldiers died in 1990 compared to 125 in 2008. I am not belittling the deaths of those 5 soldiers, I am merely stating fact.

All i will say is That There is no point in carrying on with this. But, I was not the only one who saw your comment as unacceptable.

Dont know where you get your stats from but since 1992 9 police officers have been shot. Hardly Afghanistan yep your right over there both sides have guns!! (considering our Officers are not armed they are still constantly sent in to deal with situations that can very quickly escalate into a violent incident). That aside a further 22 have died during this time through being run over, stabbed, assaulted in the line of duty. I dont know of any probationary officers earning over £21k in this country. PC with 10yrs service is around £30k. Are they worth it more now than ever. The days of Dixon Dock Green are over (if they ever existed), they cant strike, they are not armed (batons and pepper spray arent that effective against someone high on drugs armed with a knife). I am not a police officer but have had the good fortune to work alongside some of the best officers I have come across over thepast 15 years and next to my army colleagues I would class them as some of the bravest bastards I have met. I witnessed 3 PC's running into a mob of 30 men to arrest a guy who was randomly knocking people while everyone else just stood and watched. I say stood and watched that was until they turned up then the mob turned on them not pretty I can tell you. Are they worth the money hell yes.
