I wouldn't say they played well, looked devoid of any real attacking threat until Oxlade-Chamberlain came on. Oh, and the midfield is almost entirely different to that of the side that faced Brazil. Jones, Carrick, Lampard and Milner in place of Wilshere, Gerrard, Welbeck and Cleverley
In a group of Four men, there will always be one handsome alpha male and three gits. As proven by the picture above.
Unless Rooney couldn't play, there was no way that Lambert would start. Just going to be tense until he gets on pitch. Don't care if Scotland win as long as Rickie gets on and does well.
I hope England lose if they don't bring Lambert on. Best scenario is he comes on with England 1-0 down with at least 25 minutes to play. Looking forward to seeing how some of those Scottish players do against England actually.
I made the mistake of getting a little excited about this game, but Roy has put things right for me now. Danny f***ing Welshit.
...and Defoe is recovering from injury. Which means he will play. Anyway, if Rickie gets a run, I'll be chuffed for him regardless.
For a 1 striker system, though. Unless Roy switches to a little-and-large lead 4-4-2 with Lambert and Defoe up top, it's still very likely Defoe will get on ahead of Rickie.
Best chance will be if we are winning by a couple of goals...got to give him 20 mins at least if he wants to find out what Rickie is like. He knows what to expect from the others.
