'Victims' ... of course you actually mean 'creditors' ... time for perpsective ... the vast majority survived it fine ... as mentioned above, many had done exceedingly well from contracts that had spanned several years before the tough times ... you are trying to equate a football club going into administration to a war crime ... and by your generalisation any business that fails is being run by complete imbeciles ? ... you are talikg out of your arse ...
The limitations for your club are because of FFP not the amount of your owners current wealth. There are numerous examples of rich benefactors of football clubs becoming bored so disappear after a while, especially when their club keeps failing.
and we all know players sign for clubs on the promise that they'll be playing Premier League the next season, something that is notoriously difficult to guarantee.
And when you get to the Premier League you'll be a money making machine for some already rich family while you sell all your best players every year and get your arses kicked every week. At least if we get to the Premier League we'll have a decent shout at Europe.
I have over 30 years experience of starting & running SME's. There are numerous reasons why businesses fail but usually it is incompetence/lack of knowledge or overspending. I was trying to equate avoidable administration to your silly perceived wrongdoing by Watford's owners.
Your holier than thou attitude is just boring when you consider your own club is guilty of the exact same overspending. Only difference is you got lucky and got bailed out at the last second.
Irony that you quote the phrase 'fair play' when your club is exploiting 'connected party' transactions ... and please name these 'numerous examples' of rich benefactors that have become bored and walked away ...
Firstly LUFC have no chance of promotion. Secondly the value of the PL will ensure that we have access to the best players in the family. Happy days!
Your 30 years of experience are frankly worth diddly squat - any fool can start up (and run) an SME ... the majority of businesses that fail do so because they weren't particularly good ideas in the first place ... end of. Aren't ALL administrations avoidable by definition Einstein?
Please ignore Superhorns. It seems he spends his time roaming the internet looking for message boards for fans of other teams just to wind them up. He does not post an any of the major Watford boards, at least not as Superhorns. It wouldn't surprise me if he has never seen Watford play (but he probably knows someone who has).
... you succeded in equating it convincingly ... both scenarios resulted in not having to pay the market price for the goods acquired ... congratulations, couldn't have done it any better myself.
Cheers lad, he's giving you lot a bad name over here Although Proud did already point out that he has not made a single post on your board...
Lets agree to disagree, I think the Pozzo business model is incredibly smart, sustainable and here for a long time. If you guys disagree then just keep whinging and ask the french kid if he has finished with the tissues.
No probs NZ ... in fact I have no problem with the 'Watford model' personally per se - the rules allow it so until they change there is really nothing to say ... but a pontificating prat spouting on about 'footballing morality' whilst purporting to support a team that acquires its players under such a model deserves everything he gets ... the only positive I can see from his perapective is that the ripping he has got on here from just about every respondent means his voice can take a rest from emanating out of his original arsehole because he now has several others to share the burden ..
Wow over 30 years experience running a business and only a few weeks experience trying to wum on a message board! Come back in another 30 years when you've got some decent banter!
You must be immature if you think a few childish remarks have any effect. I was hoping that you had some knowledge of business or at least some common sense but not to be. Anyway keep watching the HOOFBALL at home, then look forward to the Watford game to see how 3-5-2 should be played.
Will we have the ahem 'pleasure' of seeing you there? Or are you too busy trying to rival Richard Branson?
