I really hope that's not true, these people are going down in my estimation, I don't care how much money they put into the club because they will take out more before they go so the least they can do is please show some some respect to the supporters in the meantime!
Interview on right now! Peter Levy stated "Henry Winter said this shows a lack of respect for the fans." Allam: "Well he's not paying the bills, he's paying nothing." Sounds like he's being a bit of a spoilt brat?
For all the petty guys.2 Spurs players signed today.IT is change and the one constant in life is change.Grow up or join the loyal Geordies who want to avoid getting 10 mill a year by not renaming their ground.ffs.Huddles/Livermore-THIS IS THE GROWN UP NEWS.Anyone considering any protest against the Allams is stupid-FACT
Separate issues, stop getting confused. The signings are good. The name change is bad. That's my view, and I will not be bought like some cheap whore into changing one just because I happen to like another decision. Each matter on its own merits, yeah? Great signings. I wish were still Hull City AFC.
Perhaps the petition should be addressed 'Allams please get a decent PR team in', because for all the ups we have had with them (saving the club for extinction / promotion to the Prem / Steve Bruce and todays new) they score some spectacular own goals. My tattoo which states 'Hull City AFC' / 'The Tigers' means something to me. Hull born and bred. So for someone to say the word 'City' is lousy and without identity needs their head seeing to. (I'm not holding my breath regarding the probable abortion that we will get when the club badge is eventually changed - 'after reference to us' yeah right).
I found this on my friendâs blog. It appears to have been removed now for some reason, but thankfully Iâd already copied it into an e-mail to forward to someone: â1904. Thatâs when Hull City Association Football Club was founded. In the 109 years that have passed since the momentous day when HCAFC was formed, the club has had three home grounds, almost forty managers and around two-thousand players. It has had half-a-dozen badges, countless different kits and sponsors, and has competed in all four of Englandâs professional leagues. Even fans have come and gone: some moved out of town; some had children or got married and realised they could no longer afford to attend. And, eventually, fans of all ages, genders, colours, creeds and levels of devotion have passed or will pass away to be replaced by the next generation of supporters. What ties it all together? The one constant in the clubâs long and proud history â the name of Hull City Association Football Club. I know that not everyone will agree with me, but frankly I think anyone who sees this alteration as a good thing, or as a price worth paying for some fleeting shot at glory, has completely failed to understand the Beautiful Game. On the one hand I feel sorry for those people, because whatever it is that made some of us fall head-over-heels in love with HCAFC has completely passed them by. On the other hand, however, they make me angry. Those people are selfish. They donât care if thousands of City fans, whose passion for the club is undying and their support â until this kick in the head â unwavering, have been pushed too far by an avaricious, egotistical and pig-headed old fool with no concern for anything but the idea of lining his own pockets. The Allams saved our club? Perhaps. But theyâve just killed itâ He's spot on. PS. To those of you who say you donât care whether weâre Hull City, Hull City AFC, Hull City Tigers or Hull Tigers: ignoring the fact Allam wants to rape us of our historical moniker and give us a new, NFL-style name, why are you so forgiving of the fact that he, his son and Nick Thompson all lied to us, on several occasions, until they were certain that everyone had purchased their season-tickets for this year? That in itself is a ****-trick that betrays the camel-bothering old ****wit as a **** and a sneak. I may not be the best at predicting our results or where weâll finish in the league, but good God was I right to doubt this conniving bastard
Every time Allam snr opens his mouth it's controversial. FFS, we need some one else to be the club's mouthpiece. As for his comment tonight on Look North that fans 'don't pay the bills', it's very disturbing and reminds of the David Lloyd years. Fans do contribute massively - where does he think SKY sports get all their subscriptions from ? Once again, good news tonight on the playing front has been tarnished by the ranting of an isolated and out of touch owner.
