Absolutely brilliant signings. Any word on the fee for Huddlestone or is it our usual undisclosed? I really want it to eclipse Bullard's £5m so we can erase him from the club stats.
Yea but that counts the Livermore deal as well. I would think we paid more than 250 thousand for his season long loan. My guess is this wasnt our record fee, which is a good thing.
Please explain? Not disagreeing, just wondering why. Surely having Bellend Bullard out of the record books is a good thing?
To be honest mate I'm not bothered if it's a record or not. Brilliant signings and waster Bullard is history.
Less cash in Tottenhams bank account means more in our kitty for one last signing. Bruce said he was looking to bring in "another 2 maybe 3"
Curtis Davies ‏@TheCurtisDavies 47s #Buzzing to have my boys @TomHuddlestone6 and Jake Livermore join @HullCityTeam firstly for footballing reasons but #FootballFriends too!
The smaller the fee the more money left to put towards future signings. Also the smaller the fee the better we will be financially.
Bruce said that before these were in. That leaves maybe 1 more. If we get anyone else, it will likely be that Rincon. He is apparently around £2m, and I think we have that available.
And you really think this is just for the fans? Luckily this time we have owners who can bankroll a deal like this, but don't for one moment think he hasn't weighed the options up.
Rincon came out at the same time as that Doyle nonsense so may have been agent/paper talk. Bruce has openly courted Palacios so will probably still be watching whether Stoke bring in any reinforcements in that area.
Maybe it did come out at the same time as the Doyle nonsense, but I don't recall Bruce denying it like Doyle... Stoke (or Mark Hughes to be precise) has said no already to letting Palacios come here. Don't expect much from that one.
I think the only possibility of anyone else coming in now would be if Bruce received a reasonable offer for Fryatt or Prossie, and it tempted him. Think he'd then move for another striker, probably Gedo or someone else on loan. We'll cart off McLean, Stewart and Jak if we can for a little bit of financial claw back. Then we're done I reckon.
Anyway I'm glad these two have been signed this late on. Can you imagine what our expectations would have been for future players if these two had come out as the first transfers?
Brilliant signings, things are really coming together. But has anyone told Huddlestone he has to change his name to Tom Tiger, to improve fake shirt sales in Malaysia?
Stewart won't go until the emergency loan window opens again due to his injury. I'm disappointed we haven't managed to shift McClean out.
