They say it is an eye infection. Odd excuse to use if it is not true. I prefer Barry and even Parker to Carrick. Wilshere is the best of the 4 though.

Barry, yes. I think he's really under rated for the job he does at City in allowing their superstars to grab the headlines and never worry about defending.
Parker, no. He's crap and can only cut out danger 18yards out, much too late.

  5. I think it depends who you're playing and what you want from the player. If you require a DM then I'd go for Barry but if playing lesser opposition where we'll see more of the ball then I'd go with Carrick. Wilshire and Gerrard are the first two picks with one of those two in a central three.

Walker starts at RB so Johnson likely to come on as sub.

Hoping Gerrard will break a nail in the dressing room and pull out.

Can't believe Rooney is playing, let alone starting, when he has had no pre-season matches <doh>

    Also shocked no Downing... #hodgsonout

Ahh Danny Wellbeck. The forward with 1 goal in the whole of last season. And we wonder why no one fears England anymore <laugh>

Chiles already with arse quote of the night.

"Don't big players handle the pressure, Rooney, Gazza...."

Thank God Dixon came in with "errrr....don't think Gazza did you fat prick"

Ok I misquoted Dixon but you know he would have added it if allowed.

How the hell did Welbeck get in the starting XI? I can even understand Rooney to some extent, half fit he's better than most our forwards, but bloody Wesley Snipes?

Chamberlain or Lambert should be playing instead

I don't mind Adrian Chiles. Reminds me that no matter how grumpy and boring you are, there is always a chance you could land a cushy job that pays loads of money <ok>

It actually angers me that Danny 'One goal' Welbeck consistently starts for England despite showing as much promise as Fabio Borini who is labelled a flop and ridiculed.

I don't even like England so why it bugs me I don't know but it does. Sturridge is by far the better player, as is Chamberlain, Defoe, Crouch...

BBC Live text already quoted Johnson twice since the games started, despite the fact it's Walker playing at RB <doh>

glad my license fee is being put to good use <whistle>
