I'm pleased he's gone, to be honest. I like watching him play and he deserves regular football but at the sametime I wouldn't want him to be getting regular games for us as I don't believe he's good enough.

As for Hull, I fancy them to stay up. Bruce is a good manager and I think they'll be in for a couple of bargains if they can pick them up towards the end of the window, they just need a couple of defenders.

    I agree.

If you had to choose right now, who would be your bet to go down?

    Hull fan in peace ;)

We're delighted to have Hudd and Livermore signing for us, they're the missing players we've been looking for. We have a young pacey side with good wingers so hoping Hudd will spot their runs.

I'm a bit surprised how some of you have written us off already, the season hasn't even started yet!!

We know we might be in a relegation battle but who knows, we might surprise a few people as well. Good luck for the season.

We do indeed have pace out wide with Brady and Elmohamady, both creative with an excellent cross, plus other creative midfielders.

I do think we will finish 12th this season. Certainly confident. I truly believe that we will surprise some, and play some excellent attacking football.

I wish Tottenham all the best this season, I hope you keep Bale and shake it up a bit at the top - about time someone else won the Premiership.

IF we bought those 3, then I'm straight onto the Bale thread to vote he's leaving. I can't see any other reason for buying all of those, given we need to pay for Capoue and buy at least one more defender too.

However I assume we won't buy all three, so my vote will remain undecided as yet

Ah right, fair enough. I don't know enough about them to comment as to whom I'd like.

My priorities are Bale staying and getting in defenders though. Of course if Ade or Defoe is going, then a striker is a priority too. So in that case I want Osvaldo, as I believe he's the striker of the three.

    Respect Sir, Respect :)

I might leave the name until he scores though, partly because I need to think of a decent name because I'm almost out of changes!! And also because I also liked Hudd as a player, but also because one of my mates lives near the Spurs training ground and apparently they found Tommy's house on a snow day off school and he came out and was happy to say hello when they knocked on his door! So I'm more than prepared to believe the good comments on his character as well. Very good at what he could do but sadly limited in some areas which meant he just couldn't command a starting spot with us anymore. Fair play to him I guess for taking what one would expect is a step down in quality and wages to get first team football. I'll certainly miss him.

ALso I reckon this means two centre mid shirts, numbers 6 and 8 are now free. Do you reckon Capoue and/or Paulinho might get them? Maybe Sandro or Carroll are getting a change.

Yeah, the cash converters sponsorship probably doesn't help that...

Quite like that Hull kit though. Like how the stripes meet the collar.

Also that training ground - Hudd must have got a shock moving from our brand spanking new facility <laugh>

I hope Sandro gets number 6, he deserves a promotion from 30, that's a youth or loan signing number!

Lets just say Lamela does indeed sign AND we've kept Bale.

How do we line up? Because one "big name player" is likely to be dropped if we have a fully fit squad to choose from.

    Do we go:

    Sandro, Paulinho
    Lamela, Bale, Chadli

    OR

    Paulinho, Dembele
    Lamela, Bale, Chadli

    OR

    Sandro, Dembele
    Lamela, Bale, Chadli

    OR

    Sandro, Paulinho
    Lamela, Dembele, Bale

    OR

Does anyone have another idea <laugh>

As well having the likes of Lennon, Sigurdsson, Holtby, *Capoue, Carroll and Townsend on the bench.

It's a nice headache for AVB to have should we manage to pull it off, just hope IF we do bring in Lamela, players won't start kicking up a fuss at being dropped/ lack of game time.

Jake didn't impress at many places on loan to be fair, Townsend the same bar the QPR loan. Hoping a Prem loan will bring the best out of Jake.

I don't want Osvaldo, he seems like and asshole and as much as Lamela looks ****ing quality, I just don't see how he fits in unless we sell Bale or Townsend and Lennon.

To be honest it is starting to feel like we're preparing for life without Bale and getting the signings in before we let him go :(

If Lamela comes in then Bale must already be sold. RM & Spurs must have an agreement to let the rumours go cold in order to allow Spurs to buy without being ripped off. Bale is probably 'injured' in order that he doesn't pick up any injuries before the move. Expect a last day of the window announcement. Then again, if Bale turns out against Palace my argument goes out of the window and expect him to stay. Wouldn't it be nice to be a fly on the wall?
