I think there is, it's called a Gentleman's agreement. And it's worth as much as the paper it's written on.
Alas! The days when there were gentlemen. There are probably still some around somewhere, but they make the headlines less than the scoundrels and scallywags of the footballing world.
Anybody else getting the horrible feeling that at the end of all this Steve Sidwell will be a QPR player?
Please Harry, pretty please with a cherry on top...CAN YOU KEEP YOUR ****IN MOUTH SHUT UNTIL HE'S IN A HOOPS SHIRT!
Sidwell is one of the most passionate and committed players at the Cottage. If he's no longer needed, he would be a fantastic addition for you. With him, Barton, Henry and Baird - you would have the most feared and tenacious midfield in the Championship! Plus if they were in sync, 2 could play whilst the other 2 are serving suspensions!
Why do you say these things Stan? You're not making any friends. Anyone pulling out on me when I drive home shortly is going to get a frightful ear bashing now!

If Fulham do a Norwich on us, I will shat like a big black Alsatian .....................( sorry but not real happy ) http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/662185467?-294:802 Fulham could be about to hijack Scott Parker’s move to Queen’s Park Rangers, according to the London Evening Standard. The newspaper previously reported that QPR boss Harry Redknapp had renewed his interest in signing up the Spurs midfielder, but in a shocking turn of events, it now looks like Parker could be headed to Craven Cottage. Stiff competition The Hoops realise just how hard it will be to land Parker when they realised they are facing stiff competition from Premier League clubs, with The London Evening Standard reports that assistant manager Kevin Bond said: “If a Premier League club came in for him, that is the holy grail for players, so it will be difficult.” Miss Out The newspaper writes that Fulham have only become interested in the England international because they look set to miss out on one of their other transfer targets, QPR midfielder Esteban Granero. The Spaniard looks set to move back to his home country. Parker has made 18 appearances at international level, and won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2005. The midfielder could be drawn to Loftus Road though, as he may enjoy linking up with his former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp.
I was at Loftus Rd when Adel Taarabt made Sidwell look like a pub player. In the end, Sidwell was falling over he was so dizzy!!
