For the first time in a hell of a long time, I can't wait for an England game!

I certainly won`t be embarrassed, irrespective of the score tonight. Please enlighten us as to the reasons for your bigoted attitude towards the Scots.

I have a great deal of affection for Scotland and the Scots personally.

This is the only international friendly I can ever remember looking forward to (except Holland vs England because I'm half dutch). Amazing how many people still know nothing about Lambert. A discussion with a friend yesterday about Lambert vs Carol lead to them saying Rickie is just a goal scorer. His passing and ability on the ball are so undervalued and I really think they will add something to this England team.

To be fair Godders' bigoted comments are a lot more common in reverse. Scots love to have a moan about the English (especially Home Counties types like myself). Not that it's right either way.

Yeh maybe it's just my generation but I don't get the sense at all that anyone dislikes the Scots, would be a big loss to the U.K if they voted out.

This must be Scotland's best chance. I would like to say that England are in transition, but not that sure we are going anywhere. Should still be too strong for Scotland though.

I hope Rickie gets some clear chances, because he may not get the chance to show the other side of his game playing with complete strangers.

Apart from being born in England, i'm half Scottish and half English so I'm planning on wearing each shirt, one for each half although if by some miracle Lambert starts and stays on for the second half, the England shirt is not coming off!

Buddy don't bite....It is very tongue in cheek I promise you........and we certainly will not win as easy as he suggests. What they may lack perhaps on the skill front they will more than make up for in enthusiasm!!
Godders stop being so old bloody fashioned......<laugh>

I'm with you AberdeenSaint - no need for that - hope Scotland win 4-3 and Rickie scores the 3!

On this day in 2006, Dean Ashton broke his ankle while on England duty on his first call up and it ruined the rest of his career. <yikes> :emoticon-0107-sweat

I really hope you're not due another Fratton trip! It would merit a season ticket

I don't remember being this nervous for Lallana...I suspect because I thought he would get other chances. Not a reason to give someone a cap, but Rickie so deserves this. His story would make a good book.

Lambo to make it on for a 10 minute cameo? Probably.
