We have bought 2 descent strikers and plan to make Carrow rd bigger. I sincerely hope we can balance the books and stay in the Prem for at least 10 years. As long as we keep Lambert and McNally i can see us doing just that..:emoticon-0103-cool:

  2. Agree, the relegation to League One brough a sense of realism to me. I hope we spend sensibly and clear some of our debts.

However, I think Morison (assuming he does sign) and Vaughan are both solid investments. We seem to be building for survival with the bounce back effect quality should the worse happen and we get relegated.

I'd like to see some investment in our ground should we stay up. CR just isn't big enough, especially with PL rules meaning that our ground will be even less than normal capacity (segregation etc.)

We could fill a 30,000 Carrow rd maybe even more........ We don t want any silly Jimmy Bullard type megamoney signings rocking the boat... Lambo is gold and as long as he is in charge we will achieve greatness......

Looks ok, and shouldn't 'spunk away' too much of our money. <laugh>

Was looking at contracts of people like Matthew Upson...was reportedly on £3.25 million at Wet Spam, is that for real?

No way we want to attract money boys like that. The purchase price soon pales into insignificance with the inflated salaries.

I thought the same, but the board (Including Delia) must feel that they have a great chance of staying up and making more money if they back what is one of the most promising managers in the game with as much money as they can!

Can't see any danger of us blowing our way through the Prem cash. Got to remember that it's more than just the £90 million (spread over time) too. With all the increase in advertising, the premium we can charge for that advertising, and to some extent merchandise.
Still think one of the best things I've heard out of City in the last decade and a half was Delia saying 'this club is now financially secure!'

i doubt if any player will be on big money meaning that should things go wrong and we get relegated we will not be saddled with mega salaries and disinterested players a la bullard etc.

"we will not be saddled with mega salaries and disinterested players "

That's absolutely key, isn't it? One of the bonuses of the sort of players Lambert's signing is that, if we did go down, they'd be very likely to stick around and give us a great chance of going up again.
