Rooney and Lambert could easily play together.

If I had to guess at the starting lineup tonight I would say...

    Hart
    Johnson Jagielka Cahill Cole
    Walcott Wiltshire Gerrard Ox
    Welbeck Rooney

    2nd half he will change
    Hart for Ruddy
    Wiltshire for Lampard
    Rooney for Defoe
    Walcott or Ox for Zaha

I hope I am wrong and he starts or gets a decent amount of time from a sub but think Lambo will come on for Welbeck in 70min.

I hope you are wrong as well. Sounds like Rickie has done well in training so he has earned a start!

Hodgson may have been paying lip service to Lambert all week but don't think he'll want to start him, I'm personally just trying to keep my expectations low, as long as he gets on the pitch so he gets his cap, I'm happy, more than 20 minutes would be great.

Well prepare yourself to be royally pissed off then I'd say mate!

I'd even be chuffed with a five minute run out. I just wanna see some Rickie.

I'd expect him to feature prominently, but probably from the wing. If he gets more game time as a striker than Rickie, then that would be pretty frustrating.

Walcott and Welbeck on the wings seems likely. Better than Milner at least.

Okay, prediction time. I think we'll start like this:

    -----------Rooney
    Welbeck---Chamberlain---Walcott
    ------Gerrard---Wilshere
    Baines--Jagielka--Cahill--Johnson
    -------------Hart

Not a bad looking team, to be fair. Hopefully Lambert and Rooney get a half each and Defoe sits out.

If I were Moyes I'd prefer to give Rooney a run out at the end. Hopefully that means Rickie could start.

I remember those games well. They were pretty much the only live games we saw on TV other than the Cup Final. That Wales team had Ron Davies, Wyn Davis and John Toshack up front. Some forward line that, although maybe a tad one-dimensional.

Well as Moyes isn't the England manager it's not his call.

    I'd like to see;

    Lambert
    Chamberlain Rooney Walcott
    Gerrard Wilshere
    Baines Jagielka Cahill Walker
    Hart

but I doubt that will happen. What time's kick-off btw?
