Why's that? Is that because of what you've already spent? I'd find it hard to believe you couldn't afford it; didn't Giaccherini and Altidore cost £6m each? Good luck for the season, it'll be interesting to see if PdiC can adapt at this level.
Bull****man - " I remember at the start of the window, I said if we were going to shell out on any one player, that would be the last deal we'd make and we'd get our cheaper options in first. Looks like I was correct". Yes well done. Golaccio some weeks ago, when the possibility of Huddlestone was first mooted, with a superior attitude and no regard for my feelings, implied there might be something wrong with my mental faculties if I believed Huddlestone was a chance of coming to us. (I'll look a right twit now if he doesn't).
Completely guessing here but I wonder if he's homesick and wants to be nearer the east midlands? Might be a reason why he'd choose us. That extra couple of hours closer could be a big difference and is the only thing we'd have over you guys, unless he hates far right Mussolini sympathists? Our owners have said they want all new players living in the HU postcode but that's bull****, a total PR exercise to lull our more gullible fans. Are you telling me if Messi said he wanted to play for Hull Tigers and is willing to let his contract run down before signing but insisted on living an hour away in Leeds we'd say no? And how can we prove it anyway - do we list where all our players live? Do we fook, it's unqantifiable bollocks. If Tom said he wants to commute from the east midlands every day as part of his agreement to sign we'd snap his hand off.
Erm bum chins, I'm sure you realise the club would have every players address? Unless you mean us fans?
TBH, nothing more than 5m has been touted as our top end bid which we made weeks ago. You know what Levy is like, he's fleeced us a few times and our chairman has been much more strict regarding money and wages and what not this season. Think we've been trying to haggle him down because of past injuries (We've just missed out on our primary rb target Peruzzi because of the same thing) Then you've outbid us. I don't know for sure of course, we may match your bid but I doubt it. We haven't hesitated to move on all summer if the price hasn't suited us. Thanks fella Same to you. Hope Brucie can keep you up. Not a bad manager.
Good point fella. Could be the deciding factor should we match the Bid (I hope we do but I think we won't) I've said all summer no more than 5 for him but I think we could stretch the extra 500k.
Yes I meant they dont publish it to the fans so we can never question whether they are sticking to the policy they much publicised. I know the club will have addresses just like any employer does.
It's the waiting that sucks. Come on Tom, get yourself to the KC for the obligatory photo outside the north stand.
... amended for you with a teensy-weensy bit of poetic licence - if he's been reading the thread, he'll now be rushing for his car keys ...
At a second glance that does seems a little racist... I am sure Fosse wasn't meaning it to be though.
Sunderland Echo reporting that the Mackems are about to gazzump us for Huddlestone. It would shock me to see TH go there with what is about to happen regardless of if he comes to us or not. www.sunderlandecho.com/sport
Of course their local rag would put out something like that - I think HDM would likely say the same if the roles were reversed.
Refer to previous posts LOL ... you'll see that I've linked him to Cornish pasties and steak & kidney pies prior to KFC (and if he had been signing for the Udders I might well have made a McDonalds and Big-Mac analogy) ... might possibly be 'obeseist' I suppose
