Good Morning my loyal subjects <ok>

It is a good feeling that maybe, the days that we were considered a selling club are behind us. That is obviously not to say if a club came in and offered us a ridiculous amount, that we should not take the money and run (run to reinvest it obviously)....

What price would you put on the team as individuals? And what price would you put on the player to leave?

    Kenny....???
    Peltier....???
    Byram...???
    Warnock...???
    White...???
    Drury...???
    Lees...???
    Pearce...???
    Killock...???
    Murphy...???
    Green...???
    Austin...???
    Varney...???
    Pugh...???
    Brown...???
    Tonge...???
    Norris...???
    Hall...???
    Dawson...???
    Hunt...???
    Smith...???

    Morning, just!

There are 6 or 7 in that list that need shifting on frees. I would rather us have a 19 man squad with a bit of quality than carry the hoof it Warnock intentikit players till their contracts run down.

Morning all. I'd like to see Tonge, Norris, possibly Pugh, maybe Hall if he really isn't in BMD's plans moved on and a few more kids given a chance off the bench. Either that or send them out on loan to get game time.

Morning guys! This isn't necessarily what they could be bought for, I think some of the squad would have to be bought over their value if they were to go and some we could let go for free or a nominal fee, however, this is my valuation of the squad.

Kenny.... £300k (he's getting on and I don't think he has a lot of time left on his contract)
    Peltier.... £600k
Byram... £5m (Depending on this injury of course. Our prize asset and we don't want to sell. It would take more to get him imo)
Warnock...£700k (getting on a bit now)
    White... £350k
    Drury...£400k
    Lees...£800k
    Pearce...£500k
Killock... £200k (too young and unproven to say much more yet)
Murphy...£1.5m (i'm hoping this will go up buy the end of the season)
    Green...£500k
    Austin...£1.7m
    Varney...Free
    Pugh...Free
    Brown...Free
    Tonge...£200k
    Norris...Free to £100k
    Hall...Free
Dawson... £500k (shows promise but too young and unproven to say much more yet)
Hunt... £700k (getting on a bit now)
Smith... £600k (lets see if he proves himself at this level first)
Diouff... £7/800k (getting on a bit and doesn't have long left on his contract but has quality)
Poleon... £8/900k (shows a lot of promise, is young and has a decent time left on his contract)
McCormack...£2m (our best striker and proven at this level)

Drury can do a job there imo, not spectacular but trustworthy. I'm not saying if a decent offer came in under what I said we shouldn't take it but I wouldn't be forcing him out the door as things stand. Put it this way, I trust him at LB more than white (which is a shame, as I really wanted white to succeed, him being an academy product and all!)

Tonge I would probably let go for nothing just to free up wages atm but he could do a job for a mid to lower champ club and in that respect I have given him some value :/ maybe I give him too much credit haha

    Morning all <ok>

I'm terrible at putting valuations on players, and that's only got worse with how crazy the market has gone in the last couple of years.

I would say out of the list though that I'd be happy for Norris, Pugh, Hall to leave at the minute. If we get a proper winger or two, then add Tonge and either Diouf or Varney to that list

It's so over inflated isn't it! The prices paid for decent players are crazy at present while the ones the bigger teams don't want are hard to shift simply due to wages. There's no happy medium it seems

Morning all. Only two weeks left to shift our scrap. Any idea, what length of contracts the likes of Norris, Hall, Varney and White have remaining. Assuming they have a year, maybe eighteen months left at an average of 5k a week, surely a million would pay off all their contracts. Its fairly obvious nobody will bother taking them with the pl clubs about to release their surplus players

    Morning everyone

There are around 10 players on that list who have no future at leeds. McD needs to get wheeling and dealing. It won't be healthy long term if we don't start seeing some movement. I think it's really important that we keep the positive vibes going and keep taking a step forward.

I don't know if this is 100% accurate but they list contract expiry here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012%E2%80%9313_Leeds_United_A.F.C._season#First_team_squad_information
Varney and White have contracts until 2014 it seems, while Norris and Hall have until 2015 :(

    LoL...

Monty Pannaser's value must have been 'slashed' in half the other night then.

Like Together On Marching posted, most of our deadwood have for a year or two yet. I agree that I can't see clubs who are going to come in for these players, but what do we gain by paying off their contracts at this stage? We don't free up any wages that way and we just end up without some (quite lacklustre) cover in the likes of Norris and Hall.

We'd be better off making them available for free transfers and hoping that a lower-championship, upper League One club come in for them. Even so, there's nothing saying they will leave, might just run down their contracts like so many have done here before.
