This debate has always been, and always will be stupid and pointless. Who gives a fig about the quality of the leagues as a whole? Facts are: United were outclassed by Barcelona and have to play catch up to match them.

 

pele played against great players while he was in brazil but he may not be the best player ever but if you score 1000 goals you are one of the all time greats

 

he's the self proclaimed greatest ever player. ask any brazilian and instead they'll name garrincha and alberto among others before this guy. only he rates himself so highly.

English teams have appeared in 6 of the last 7 Champions League Finals. Lets ignore Barcelona in this because they are freaks. They are simply the best team the world has ever seen. They would win any and every league in the world. United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have all appeared in the final in the past 6 years. Only Barcelona have from Spain. Madrid can go to places like Sevilla and Valencia and put 6 past them. It shows that the Spanish League favours their top 2 sides. The gap between 2nd and 3rd is ridiculous. Spain may have the worlds best t team in their league But the rest is just cannon fodder.

 

How can you criticise anybody on their take on football if you think United aren't that much better than Valencia just because they 'only' beat them 1-0.

I'm guessing you think Wolves should have won the league because they managed to beat United 2-1. People who go off individual games to compare how good somebody is haven't got a clue about anything.

As clearly evident in the picture the referee is shaking the hand of the Inter Milan player at the end of the match when Pele launches a physical assault on the unsuspecting Inter Milan player

then theres also the incident in the Maracana in 1964 when Rattin had Pele in his backpocket as Argentina beat Brazil 3-0 and Pele violently headbutted another Argentinian player
