We've had a bit of rain here and it has reminded us how fragile out infrastructure is. Yesterday we lost our phone line and the Internet connection kept dropping out. Things seem to be working this morning.

Oh I thought you had sorted that problem, hope its just a rumour, but you cannot trust the piggy bankers. They took mine last time but the UK government gave it me back which was decent of them - would have delayed planned retirement.

Oh yes, Broad & Bres bowled some snorters which would have got most batsmen out, very satisfying that they produced them against the Aussies best.

A great after tea session but I still can't believe why the Aussies made such a fist of it when they had the perfect start. Harris & the 2 openers must be really pee'd off.

Lots of contenders for man of the match on both sides.

Job done, now to rub it in at the Oval.

Good to see Chris Rogers back in some form - he's back at Middlesex after the Oval Test. Shame Finn was in poor form in the 1st Test and got dropped for the 2nd - it would've been great for all MCCC fans to see our best bowler against our 4 day captain at home.

The new job has meetings at odd times, where do managers find these hours. Perhaps they do not want family life but the staff do.

Iceland finance minitry very upset with the Americans saying our economy is going to collapse again, because they say it isn't.

Morning all from a bight & sunny bandit country.
Just had the BT engineer in to install the new high-speed broadband connection, all up and running within 90 mins. Excellent service and a very fast connection...
Off to Wembley tonight to watch England play for the first time in 30 years. - just could not resist this game! And tickets for Reading have arrived, so looking good for a big return to football!
    Thanks for the frothy AK...
