I think we'll see 3-5-2. I know we've played 4-3-3 in pre-season, or even 4-2-3-1 as we did against Betis, but I can't see us trying it against a really good Chelsea side. I think we'll keep the solid shape with three in the middle. I hope we do go for it mind, it never hurt us playing three strikers at the Emirates.

Don't think we will play that formation. It worked last season but this season is a different kettle of fish. We will be more defensively minded not because we want to be but because of the quality of the opposition.
Chelsea will almost certainly play a fluid 4-3-3 formation or a variant of it, so I too wouldn't be surprised if we packed the midfield by playing a 3-5-2. With the potential inclusions of Huddlestone and Livermore included, I'd go with the following. McGregor Chester Davies Figueroa Elmo Meyler Koren Huddlestone Brady Aluko Graham
I agree we'll be more defensively minded but playing a 4-2-3-1 loaded with attacking midfielders isn't more defensive it's more open. The most important thing a manager wants when he plays defensive is 3 in midfield. Anything with 2 in midfield is considered a gamble these days.

IF Huddlestone and Livermore sign, this would be the team I would go for, except with Rosie in for Elmo.
I was thinking about this about a week ago & I was convinced we would be playing 442, with Elmo going for Egypt this was my team at the time. McGregor Rosenior, Chester, Davies, Figueroa Aluko, Meyler, Quinn, Brady Sagbo, Graham. Now though things have changed so my 11 is 433 McGregor Elmo, Chester, Davies, Figueroa Meyler, Koren, Brady Aluko, Graham, Sagbo If we sign Huddlestone then him to replace Koren or Meyler.

The midfield trio is very solid and also decent going forward, with Brady and Aluko on the wings we also stand a chance of nicking the odd goal!
Does anyone seriously think we'll start all four of Sagbo, Graham, Aluko and Koren at Chelsea? Surely that would be suicide? I think Graham and Sagbo are fighting for one place, and it will be Graham for now.
If we lucky enough to get Huddlestone and Livermore before the weekend would they be ready to go straight into the team. Personally I'd leave them on the bench and save them for the Norwich match.
