Seems a bit harsh that we have gone off Rabiu from Evian on the strength of a single performance on Saturday night.
I have a feeling Brucey had already recieved a scouting report and went to see for himself. If he even went...
Brucey talked about getting another "2 or 3 in".... If the Spurs lads both join, I reckon Palacios could still be a cheeky deadline day deal depending on who Stoke bring in. I think it's safe to say that Stoke are one team that Hudds wouldn't fancy playing for.
I think number 3 would be the lad from Hamburg, can't see Palacios happening if we get Huddlestone in.
They are reporting the Livermore deal as if its already happened. Surely he has to agree personal terms as well?
Daily Mail have probably twisted that so they can easily bullshit on the Di Canio bit. Even though he is after Tom as well.
Rincon, Huddlestone and Livermore as a midfield 3 is impressive, even more so as it leaves quality players like Meyler, Quinn, Koren and Boyd on the bench!
Rincon is an attack minded CM, Huddlestone is a defensive ball playing CM and Livermore is more box to box. Hudd will work really well with Quinn and Livermore will benefit from the experience of Koren.
Sorry Tommy T, I have to agree with Macca here, but given that Huddlestone is magic in his passing qualities, Rincon can break things up and Livermore can bridge those gaps (box-to-box), your original post is almost correct IMO. Could be formidable 3-some in mid-field given the rest of our lineup.
Huh. Well I always saw him as a midfielder who likes to bomb forward, but then I've only seen him play like 10 times, so I could very well be mistaken.
I seriously hope they don't have a 3-some in midfield, else I think I'll be burning my season pass and never coming back.
That's one way of putting people off free kicks or penalties; just have our plays **** as the opposition are about to kick the ball.
