The goalkeeper, Kevin Scriven, who used to play for your favourites Sutton, has apparently changed his name by deed poll and as part of the deal, to Gordon Banks. , This is an insult to Gordon Banks, and an insult to Banks's parents who named him and brings the game of football into disrepute because it makes a member club a laughing stock, especially when it bails this club out of administration. Unbelievable.
Totally agree. I wonder what the FA actually do sometimes. Between them and the Premier League there are unsuitble owners coming in at will, tapping up is as regular as a sunrise and even 3rd party rules can be got around if you're West Ham.
It seems it is only a matter of time before we sell BAE, a respected ITK on one of the other sides claims Benny has 2 offers, one from France and one from Russia, and that when a replacement is brought in he will go.
Well it seems Hugo has stormed the Bastille of Spurs secrecy and announced Capoue has signed http://www.cartilagefreecaptain.com...tspur-transfer-rumors-lloris-capoue-toulouse? I think Hugo's job's safe anyway
Pretty much only seen the Espanyol game and a few highlights here and there. Sometimes last season I felt like the only person that didn't think he was one of the top 'keepers in the World. He's pretty damn good and suits our style well but there are quite a few goals that he concedes that a truly outstanding 'keeper saves.
Just wait till Donna finds out Hugo's been a naughty garcon. PS I'm not getting involved in a 'Hugo the keeper debate' ATM, but I will say he has been disappointing pre-season. I think we need to get in a back-up keeper, given that HG is off/not rated. Unless the powers that be have faith in our young keeper(s).
I was being a bit mischievous to be honest, but I can't help thinking if Brad had conceded a couple of the Monaco goals he wold have been slaughtered. The goal on Sunday against Espanyol, was poor on a number of counts, but there can be no doubt Lloris was hugely weak.
Yeah, he's not usually the main focus of blame as there's usually another glaring error but for me he doesn't pull off any Worldie saves, even an ageing Friedel pulled off a couple of cracking saves last season. As I said, I do like him though, I just don't rate him quite as highly as some.
Changing the subject, how pleasing it was to see Little Tommy score for the under 21's this evwning with a cracking strike. Always nice to see us stuff the Scots.
Lovely wasn't it. Like I've just said on the other thread, Archer is gonna get a beating from the other spurs lads!! Haha
He doesnt seem to be the miraculous shot stopper that gomes was before his meltdown. Something which stood lloris apart last season though was the way he commanded the penalty area, giving us really another dimension in defence. There seemed to be no sign of this in the pre season games, and whilst the defenders got plenty of stick, in actual fact Lloris was nowhere to be seen either much of the time.
