<peacedove>When Thierry Henry came to Arsenal he was recruited to be playing the midfield but Arsene Wenger saw the other
side of the coin and converted him to striker.Thierry Henry, scored so many important goals for Arsenal.
COUTHINO too we can try him in many other positions;but the manager believed that is best position is cetre midfield.

  3. Coutinho is great at creating chances and getting assists but he needs to work on his finishing so its a no from me. However, he could play the F9 role IMO

Coutinho's biggest strengths by far are dribbling and through balls, and tbh his finishing isn't that good. I think he would be wasted as a striker.

As everyone else has said. No.

His main strength is his eye for spotting a through ball or assist before anybody else has even contemplated it. This is why I personally like it when he plays a bit from deep, he has more space and a greater chance of spotting a run, rather than getting caught up in the congested area around the penalty area.

Maybe in a few years if he develops into that kind of player but not at the moment.

god no.... when you've a guy that good in vision, trickery and passing why would you stick him somewhere he'd need a mirror version of himself to get the ball to him.

sturridge = kick like a mule. striker.

coutinho brains to supply ball to mule.

Erm, If we play him as a striker then who's gonna give him the ball. He's our only creative mid and we look a bit lost without him. Even if he was a great striker I would still play him in midfield in our team as we need him on the ball as much as possible!

He might be saying no to all of our replies which means he is actually saying yes to the OP.

Yes, let's play someone with no physical presence, poor finishing and no pace upfront. That could work.
