Certainly a masterstroke by Bruce if we can get Huddlestone in. Just the kind of signing you want just as the season is starting.
Livermore's also been overlooked here he's a cracking player! Hope we have the option to buy him next year if he comes in on loan!

Hate to be negative but our chances of signing them have probably reduced since it became public. We must've kept this quiet for a while, I just hope this doesn't make Sunderland think they can sneak in.
I don't think they have reduced. It just might take longer to hear about the actual deal being completed as the club will probably attempt to strengthen the security of this deal.

Bruce has come out and said we aren't after any more strikers. So unless West Brom offer him to us for a dirt cheap price, it's unlikely.
Just watched the Bruce interview with Burnsey on the BBC website. There's a part where Bruce talks about one of the hardest parts of being a manager and thats signing players. He goes on to say that just when you think the players yours, the media get hold of it and it gets onto twitter etc and before you know it the players gone elsewhere.. I hope this doesnt happen with the Huddlestone & Livermore deals... We know what agents are like and as soon as we agreed a fee with Spurs their agents would have been contacting "bigger" clubs with the details to see if they will match it. Hopefully though the media have got hold of this a little too late and that we've already had the players sign and there's just the medical and a few little details to take care of before its announced. Fingers crossed!!
I think we have something in our favour this time and thats our lack of competition in midfield. Basically whenever Tom's fit to play, he'll play.. guaranteed. Don't forget also there's a World Cup coming up which im sure Tom would like to be involved with and he'd have every chance of being selected if he has a good season in the prem playing every game.
I noticed that, when asked about Doyle, he denied it straight away but when asked about TH, he laughed and said he didnt want to talk about other club's players.
