It also makes the Henry signing even worse, shades of signing Green and then a week later Cesar.

We also desperately need a CB or 2 as well as a winger or 2. We have Hoilett and SWP and thats it.

You clearly didn't see him this preseason / all of last season.

Completely lost it since injuries / age has kicked in.

Awful signing - would have been better trying to get Livermore on loan.

Im actually stunned we got money for him, let alone £2m+ Thought he'd go for free.

Because they can see what we can see Fin, Spurs probably cant believe they got someone to take him off them and get a couple of millions as well.

Beard has to go, he hasnt got a clue about football, we are being fleeced time and time again.
TF said we wouldnt be signing any more old players
    Henry
    Dunne
    Parker
    Oneill
All signed after he said that, all over 30. More than half our squad is over 30.
Simpson and Austin have been great transfers though.

Thanks for letting us know Jamspurs.

Now we know why PL teams don't want him.

Exactly and he relies so much on his movement to get stuck in, once that goes hes got nothing, just like Ji Sung Park.

Do you know something Flyer, these 30++ year old signings are simply crazy.

We are the laughing stock of the football world thinking we have signed world class players and when we see them on the pitch, they are just awful and to boot are completely worthless when it comes to sell on value.

I will be firmly in the BEARD OUT camp if we sign Scott Parker. Even the Spurs fans are telling us we are mad.

Just the 3 of us then!! Could well be a very good signing for us. I'd much rather Parker than that ****er Barton holding our midfield together!

What makes you think this is Beard's doing? This is a typical Redknapp signing.

Redknapp obviously wants the player and I agree a manager should get whatever players he wants.

It is Beard's job to agree the price and to agree the players contract terms. Beard should tell Levy to shove his 3.5M where the sun don't shine. We will take him off their hands on a free, we should offer him max £30K per week performance based and a bonus if we get promoted. What will Beard do, pay Spurs the 3.5m, pay Parker 50k+ per week on a 3/4 year contract. That is what he has done with virtually every signing to date, ie. paid over the odds and given the player stupid long contracts. Barton, Granero, M'Bia, Cesar, Diakite, etc..... Why can't we get rid of these lads??? Because we have them on stupid money that nobody else will pay them. That's why I am in the Beard out camp.

Exactly, that is the way you filter out the mercenaries against those you really want to play for us.

Redknapp doesnt care about the future...or lack of it because he wont be here in a years time, never mind 2 or 3 when things have got even worse. Hes selling our future for one shot at getting up this season.

Parker will be a good signing for a year or two. Redknapp knows his character and I can't see him being a tourist.

In other news, Henry and O'Neill have just put there boots up for auction on eBay...

If this puts Henry a rung further down the pecking order then I am all for it. Parker is a good honest pro in my opinion and if we pull it off will be a great addition to the squad. Still need some creativity in the middle tho to cover for an injury to Ale. We missed him on Saturday, Granero just wasn't the same.

Dumb and Dumber spring to mind?
I don't blame Beard as he patently doesn't know what he's doing or have the necessary competences, experience and connections for the job - The blame stops at the one who employed/continues to employ him - Dumber
As for where we are with the squad now, well only time will tell but it's now all down to one (Dumb) now with no excuses.

surely parker cant go from a really good player to a average one in a season, it a massive difference playing for spurs to q.p.r, you would have to be a special player to get in the spurs midfield as it stands, I think he will be a decent signing, give me a reason why he wont, he is here to do a job, and think he will do it

I just want to say, I really hope Scott Parker and all the other signings work out for us. I have the best interests of the club at heart and I hope we succeed this year. I want Harry to be successful with us too. I am still in the pro-Redknapp camp for the moment.

I have voiced concerns about both TF and Beard on here recently. Looks like their transfer policy of signing older has been players is continuing this season. I profoundly disagree with this transfer policy. I hope TF has very deep pockets because if his gamble of a quick return to the PL doesn't pay off, we will be in serious financial trouble this time next year with another year of Championship football and very little TV revenue coming in.
