You'd have thought that the first one would've made defenders think twice about it, but no. <doh> Feel sorry for the keepers.
Very dodgy penalty. Soft and outside the box, for me.

Did you miss with that, Spurf? <confused>

Seems that Ramsey has decided who the core of his U21 starting XIs will be this season. :)

    Was that Archer in goal?

Good finish mind. Maybe we should demote Hodgson to under 21s permanently. He was in charge of this one, right?

That run from Nathan Redmond to set up the goal was quite special and good finish from Tom.

Redmond got lucky with the cross though, didn't even look up, unless that's something they've been working on.

Yep it was! He even smiled a bit when tom scored the 6th, as he was clearly thinking "I'm getting so much abuse from the lads tomorrow"! <laugh>

Archer booted the ball straight to Wickham for the third, apparently. Don't think that had much to do with the scoreline, mind.

Just got BT Sport on today so I saw the 2nd half. From what I saw, and as their manager after said, paid too much respect, stood off too much and got punished. Scotland had that lad upfront from Celtic, Watt, who scored against Barcelona in their win, I think that might be the only thing he does in his career! England enjoyed the freedom of the park and Jonjo Shelvey of all players stood out for us, not so good for Pool though, so we'll see what Laudrups seen. Our lads came on in dream circumstances, so played confidently. Tom took his goal well and jabbed his passes about as he does, and Harry got himself into a couple of great positions but the finish let him down. Jordan Archer...night to forget, especially his bizarre sliced kickout which led to an exquisite finish from Wickham, with an over the shoulder volleyed lob.

Pearce sadly was a pundit, still whining about the lack of U21's because they're playing in the senior side, but he was right. If the senior side depth all over the pitch wasn't so ****, the U21's like Jones, Walker, Oxo, and a few others wouldn't be needed. It would be a helluva side if they were all in it regular.

Many people are predicting big things for Shelvey this season. Apparently had a brilliant pre-season with Swansea.

that kid watt who scored against barca is basically a flash in the pan, not done a single thing for celtic since and they are trying to offload him on loan but he has a great pulling line for when out in town picking up glasgows finest tarts!

Wouldn't mind picking up Wickham as part of the deal, if we still end up flogging Rose to Sunderland. Might be useful in the long term.
