Fair enough. No, I think the plural ending -a or -ia only applies to nouns ending in -us or -um Otherwise, a Latin word ending in an "a" is usually a female proper noun. I might well be wrong since I haven't done latin since 5th year but I don't think any Latin words end in -ing. Incomplete pass verb tense was -abit
