We're already in the last minute saloon! The season starts next week and there was zero point in hanging on to him considering the remaining six game ban. Fair enough, the season starting doesn't effect Suarez but it does effect Liverpool, if Luis was to leave then doing it early so that we had enough time to get a replacement would have made sense.

However, this does fit in with my 'early summer theory'; if the ban is transferable between leagues then the likes of Real will hold on until the end of the window so that Luis fulfills part of his ban before moving. Their seasons starts later than ours too.

 

Totally agree mate, can't see him coming to us now, especially with rumours that we have put in a bid for Benzema, now why would Real be willing to sell him

 

If Suarez does leave it WILL be on the last day or so of the window.

I think if we dominate our first leg qualifier for the CL then that may be the time we may see Suarez hand in a transfer request and the move happen.

I do still think there is a goodchance of this happening.

Carroll was never given a chance to be fair. I always thought he was a useful player myself.

 

Was fine at Newcastle and reasonable at West Ham. I just think he didn't fit into the Liverpool system too well.

The 35m price tag was always going to put him under pressure. Decent player at Toon, there's something about Liverpool that seems to ruin players. Best thing Carroll could do was get out of there, and wasn't his fault that Pool got mugged for him and then didn't bother to play him.

 

Carroll is a decent player but was never going to justify the price tag. He is worth about £10m-£15m realistically.

 

I've had a busy week.I was darn sarf until last Tuesday and then it was my birfday on Thursday,then it was my granddaughter's 3rd birfday on Friday.We capped off two days of celebrations by having a BBQ at my daughter's on Saturday

 

I disagree with that price. He is worth a lot more to a club that need a good target man. He has a head like a leather magnet. I've never seen anyone win such a high percentage of headers for yonks.
