Saying West Ham have accepted a bid of £3mill for Diame, do you think that if this happened that Barton would go the other way? either now or eventually. I have a son and a daughter in law who support The Hammers and they rate him.

I'd be amazed if he did come to us, Arsenal were interested last year...

I saw this on Twitter earlier. It was by @AgentVince31 then he is a parody ITK who post's spoof transfer news. The trouble is, is that he does throw the odd real one in.

Another midfielder... Diame is a good though so would have him in a heartbeat.

We're not the only ones with plenty of midfieldersthough. Came across Spurs' squad

    Bale
    Lennon
    Dembele
    Sigurdsson
    Rose
    Sandro
    Townsend
    Parker
    Huddlestone
    Holtby
    Livermore
    Carroll
    Dawkins
    Falque
    Paulinho
    Chadli

Diame looks like he could be a very good addition to the team, I wouldn't miss Barton going the other way either...

Barton doing a good job at the moment for us and his ego looks to be under control ... Comfortable level for him and it will build confidence no need for him to be Mr Honey Badger

Everyman has a chance some need more

    Team spirit is everything

    Harold is getting that right

We look to become a solid outfit that won't accept defeat easily The very foundation of all good sides

We take our chances and deal with the now and focus we will only grow

Barton currently gives me a sense that we won't fold and currently is first on the team sheet

I have to be straight with the fact as I see it at the moment if things so wrong deal with them then

I agree with this - Barton is our best player at the moment. I realise that people are expecting him to explode again at some point, but he will have been warned by the club as to his future conduct and the club can discipline him if he transgresses again, which may include terminating his contract. Until and unless this happens he should stay and play.

I rate Diame good player don't know why he would come to us should easily get another EPL side.

Guys don't forget Barton may have played a couple of games ok for us but he is a time bomb just waiting to go off, imo pass the bomb before it explodes.

Not sure that the club can introduce anything new in to his contract as despite all Barton's indiscipline he's still a Ranger. Unless of course a new contract's been negotiated, in which case why is he still on such high wages and still looking to leave for anyone mug enough to take him.

I don't disagree about his early season performance being good, but he nearly (probably should have) got sent off against Sheffield Weds. How many on here would have a different opinion then?

I'm afraid with Barton it's a question of when rather than if, he commits another misdemeanour.

I'm sure there was an amendment to his contract agreed by him about his future conduct after the Citeh game.

Well, it was reported but that means diddly squat as the transfer rumours show...

I vaguely remember something like that. Does anyone know for sure? Can someone ask David Mac?

If we sign any more defensive midfielders then Gary O'Neill will struggle to get a seat in the stands let alone on the bench.
