Sorry but I can't believe after all this time people are still calling him Ricky. That isn't his name!
All this time he avoided calling him and instead of him he called worse player who score much less at much better clubs. Now Rickie is probably only viable option left, who else could he have called? Danny Graham?
Apparently Rooney showed little sign of his injury when taking full part in the training session this morning. Would you believe it, injuries do heal!
Just had this sent to me by fatletiss courtesy of his mate at St George's Park - doesn't he look happy? please log in to view this image
England striker Rickie Lambert: "I'm trying to take everything in and be calm. I'm trying to do well, to impress and to get another chance." "I'm trying to prove that I can be here for whoever we're playing." "I'm always confident I can score goals. If I get a chance, I'm confident I can take it. My main focus is playing well." "Southampton have been terrific for me in every aspect." "I never gave up hope that I would be called up. Hopefully this sends a message out to other players." "When Adam got called up last year, that gave everyone confidence. We've got some excellent young players." "This is what I've been looking forward to. Pre-season is over now and the serious stuff gets going."
Whenever a young player is selected they always use the old cliche "Playing without fear" Lambert's massive grin says to me he is going to have the same enthusiasm as a teenager
