He'll get rid of the players who don't respond well. Seems like he's already identified a number of players he's not keen on since arriving. I'm pretty confident he'll be a good manager for them, and he'll purposefully build a team of players with whom he has a good relationship. The days of replacing one bunch of misfits with another bunch of misfits are over for Sunderland.

Following on from Sky's knowledge earlier, the Birmingham Mail are reporting that West Brom will sign Vydra on Monday (tomorrow) and he underwent a medical today. Also say they are in talks with City for Sinclair.

Regular scorer in Champs last year and this...young, big, quick and scores from anywhere.
Ideal for developing into the Saints way and would cost less than many of the overseas players we ar looking at or do have we fallen into the trap of overseas players are always better than UK players?.

 

Would he be better than what we already have? There's your answer. The reason we're looking at more expensive players, is because the players mentioned are better than what we already have.

 

Is Deeney a better striker/goal scorer than Rickie? Close. Better than JRod? probably because he appears better out wide. Better than Mayuka? Yes! And we haven't got a fourth striker.
Would jump at a chance of moving to the Prem with Saints and not need £40k a week to persuade him. Would we have language and cultural issues? No. Would he be whisked half way round the world per season for a friendly international? No

Watford doesn't exactly need to sell him, and given that they're pushing for promotion the price is likely to be comical relative to what he provides. No thanks.
