I was right behind the goal and Fontaine was clueless completly clueless.

A big concern for me was flints body persona and hanging his head in shame.
The bloke had a mare of a game.

The reason he is carrying Fontaine and it will and is going to bring him down.

SoD needs to drop him he cost us at least three and may be four of todays goals.

Deal with it Sean before it affects the rest of the team.

Frank Fielding had another poor game very strange considering his England call up by Capello. His kicking was alfull.

The fans rammed into both stands were magnificent, proper support, shame the players could not quite win the game and send us all home happy.

Makes me laugh how you blame him all the time.

There are 3 other guys at the back plus 4 midfielders as well who are at fault.

Makes you laugh he was a total liability on that pitch today.
I am not one to crucify players week in week out,but Fontaine is the weak link at the back.

Because he is a *ucking liability ??!

We are averaging 3 goals a league game but are conceding 3.5 and with Wolves in town next weekend SOD needs to sort this out before this becomes a habit in this league (was bad enough shipping loads of goals last season) and the crowds dwindle away again and they will. People will vote with their feet
Millen couldn't see Fontaine was rubbish, nor Del and now seemingly not SOD either. What is wrong with these managers ?????

What happened at the start of last season?

We scored goals, plenty of them but as soon as we scored, the defence opened up a double decker route to our goal and we conceded.

    What happened then?

The forwards all switched off because however many they scored, the defence would let in more. Yesterday is just a repetition of last seasons games such as Blackburn at home and then Leeds when we got back level only for the donkeys to go AWOL.

It's not a good recipe for good team spirit.

Fontaine seems to be one of those players that plays well in training, and knows the game, but is quite obviously hampered by something when it comes to matches. After reading the papers and comments for the past few seasons it could be a confidence issue.

I'm of the mentality that the manager knows better than the fans, full stop. Surely the string of decent managers we've had in the past know a bit more about football about us, and if they're constantly picking Fontaine it's for a reason. SOD probably has no budget, and he's hoping that he can get Fontaine over whatever kind of block he has towards being a decent defender again.

I think he is only hampered by a serious lack of ability come kick off time.

As I've posted elsewhere before, he also seems to be well in with every manager we've had recently and I'm sure he tells them how good he is.

Either way, he will continue to cost us goals, points, confidence and credibility if he continues in the team.

Unlike some, I didn't expect us to win our first 10 games at this level, but I also didn't expect us to be conceding 5 goals in our first away game either. We knew that the first few games would be a good test but we could be heading to play MK Dons away with 1 point from 3 games.

The only game we have won in 11 or 12 matches is a LC tie against a team that already look like relegation favourites after their latest beating.

Didn't see the Coventry game, but Fontaine was out of sorts during Bradford game. I also don't like climbing on one players back, but I think it's unfair on him to keep playing him when he is not playing well. Give him a rest and try Williams, both will probably benefit from it.

I juat watched the highlights on the youtube channel and think both centre defenders and the keeper need to do better. But Fonts i would say was mainly at fault for two of their five goals. Their fourth was shocking defending by Fonts need to be able to deal with the long hoof up field.

I guess its just hard when the attacking side of the team actually score 4 goals and we still lose.

Only positive is we were 3-0 down and only lost by 1 goal if thats a positive

Flint fair play to him At least he admits he had a mare unlike some others-

From his twitter feed last night....

"No excuses at all today, my performance was terrible, let the boys down, credit to them for gettin back into the game. #bcfc"

predictably the errors of he who shall not be named seemed to overshadow any poor performance from AF, but fair play to the lad for holding his hand up and taking some responsibility for his actions.

Everyone will have a poor game from time to time, but a lot of the battle comes down to attitude and this boys seems first class.

Perhaps by saying sorry is how he has conned successive managers into picking him week after week

There will be a lot of unhappy fans if Fontaine is in the starting 11 again on Saturday.

He is a consistently poor performer and at this stage of the season there is nowhere to hide.

Flint is the only player I would keep of the back 3.

    ----------------------Parrish

    Maloney---Williams---Flint----Cunny

    picks itself !

Apologies to Cunningham for that unfortunate abbreviation, but I didnt give you your surname :)

I agree, fontaine is shocking, but when he is dropped, who do we blame next? As there is something throughout the team that is fundamentally wrong if we can't keep a single clean sheet!
