Yes mate. I adore Sess, and I'd be gutted if he left. IF he let and we signed Manu Fernandes & Quagliarella, I'd get over it quickly.
So he was better than Mig and Rose, thats bullshit. And you can put Fletcher,Cuellar, & JOS ahead of that - was last season that long ago? I'm not disputing Sess is not potentially a great player - however we see scant evidence of that last season e.g shooting, passing, decision making in the 18 yard box are not what they should be for someone being worshipped on here as some sort of legend, that just besmirches Kevin Phillips. If he played as well as think he did then as I said, we would have been challenging for a top 10 position not fighting relegation - I'm fair and even handed mate Again, I do not think we should sell him, I just do not think he is as good as you are making out. Someone said he was the most naturally talented player they had seen in red & and white stripes in 26 years, I can only ask what about Don Hutchison?
I am with you on this one Marcus, Sess is the best player I have seen in a Sunderland shirt and I have been watching them since 1962 and have seen some brilliant players in that time. I agree he could do a bit of work on his shooting/composure in front of goal, but two things spring to mind 1. he has played in a poor team most of his time here and does most of the creative stuff himself. 2. there isn't a player alive that scores with every attempt, there are two teams on the park with the opposition trying to prevent creative players having any impact on the game. I would be very disappointed if we sold him and I am sure he would be difficult to replace.
He was the most fouled player in the league. Opposing players know he's dangerous. Those free kicks should be chances in themselves if we sorted our set piece deliveries.
Are you guys not a tad worried that your high player turnover this summer may bite you in the arse this season?
nope. trust the homework has been done & replaced with better. for us lesser mortals it`s all we can hope for & pretty much all we have. the top 5 clubs buy the players they want, the rest of us take chances & hope it comes off. that seems to be the way of it.
What do suggest? We signed no one and started the season with a threadbare squad? Needs must, how can that possibly bite us in the arse.
1 ) I never said once he was better than Rose & Mig 2 ) Don Hutchison gave a lot, but more 'naturally talented', not in a million years lad. 3 ) Seems lads a lot older than me on this very thread agree, one going back to 1962!
Ask yourselves this. Would any other manager get rid of sess if they did not have too? This is purely Dicanios decision as he gets frustrated with him. Let's hope it all works out.
Let`s face it, Sess can be brilliant and crap. Change a game and go missing. There doesn`t seem to be much argument there. At the end of last season PDC had very little time to look at & assess him. Now he`s had more time to work with him we may see more consistency. We won`t know until we see him play in the new set up. On the other hand the inconsistency may be part of his nature & if it can`t be changed PDC may feel he has to be replaced. We are not privy to the plans and machinations of what`s going on, all we know is that it`s something major and hope it`s successful.
To be honest lads. I love Sess but he is to hit and miss. If we can offload him for 10+ million and bring in Rose and a younger replacement then i'd say get rid of him.
Cos i'm a lazy **** and can't be arsed to read the thread, is he leaving? A simple yes, no or **** off will do.
