I'd put that down to the manager and the squad. Ultimately it is they who win you matches and bring success, not some fancy dan name.
You've been dying to say that, haven't you. It's like QI though, you think your being clever, but all you get is a "Ueeghurrrr"(spelling ?)
I trust AA to make money for my club. more money = better signings or I suppose we can bump along the bottom of league 2 as per usual. but at least were Hull City
How the hell does not changing the name mean we'll bump along the bottom of league 2? If that's the case, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are ****ed
Did they advise him to appoint Barmby? If he knows nowt about about football, how does he know which ones are the good advisors? His PR and marketing advisors don't seem to doing to well at the moment- we're a laughing stock and an embarrassment. The support is divided, distracted, angered and bewildered. If you wanted to **** up our start to this season, you'd be hard-pressed to beat the last 72 hrs. Worldwide ridicule and core support alienated. Some ****ing 'advisors'.
They changed their names at least 100 years ago for crying out ****ing loud. Surely that would make them boring and lousy now, would it not? EDIT: Chelsea and Liverpool have never changed their name. So even more reason for pointless change...
I'm pretty certain that the success of Man United and Arsenal is down to what they have achieved on the field and not due to changing their club name. As I said to you earlier, a club builds its success and reputation through what happens on the pitch and not from selecting a showbiz name. Also forgetting that Arsenal changed their name due to relocation issues and was before football became the global phenomenon it is now. I bet if you ask any Arsenal fan why they have had a successful history the last thing they'll say is 'it was because we changed our club name in 1913'.
I bet if you went back to 1913 and asked an Arsenal supporter, they'd have the same knee jerk reactions that you children are having.
They'd probably have been worried about the rumour they were due to be bought out by the Arch Duke Ferdinand. Mind you, once they'd got over the chaos caused by European Tour, they took advantage by buying the promotion place that should have gone to Spurs, so they're probably not the best example to use on morality issues.
